Rough Ryder's Answer to the Colt Alamo Bowie

Soon after Colt stopped making knives, Rough Ryder came out with a knife very similar to Colt's Alamo Bowie It his video, I look at the similarities of the two knives.

The guard and handle is slightly slimmer but the blade stock is nearly identical. But the additional blade length is really makes the overall size very deceptive when not shown side to side. The fact that both handles have the same circumference in the middle also surprised me. It might be slimmer but it must be taller if you're coming up with the same circumference. I gain a new respect for the Rough Ryder Bowie.

I like the look of that CT409 Bowie Colt did make some lookers. I wonder if a person could find a 5 pt star stamp knock it into those brass guards onto the RR Bowie? That would be a fun look too.

I was a little upset with the RR when I first bought it because of the sheath. But it has grown on me. For the price it’s pretty good.

Good video. I have question about Case XX pocket folder Hunter knife. What year did Case start putting four pins on the handle scales and the one back spring pin. So that would make it five pins . It used to be two handle pins and a back spring pin making it three pins in the handle scales. Thank you. If you can help. God bless. From Glenn CATT. In Massachusetts.

I really like those Bowie knives . Does RR make any Bowie knives in China ? My Buck Frontiersman 124 sheath is really tight also
