Reece's first try was disallowed because of a forward pass ( 1:18 ) . Brumbies pass ( 7:06 ) should also have been disallowed for same reason.

Penalty try? I thought for a penanty try to be awarded the ref must be a 100% sure a try would be scored. How could he be sure a would have been scored in that abortion under the poles?

Even if they only gave a penalty for it, it would have been converted for a Brumbies win.

Imagine that ruling in the Auckland Ranfurly Shield challenge of 1985. A very similar thing happened in the last play of that game. Instead of a penalty try and yellow card, Referee Bob Francis blew the whistle for full time and Auckland took away the shield.

Sevu Reece is the only world class player in the current Crusaders squad. The rest, amateurs just like the head coach. It is difficult to understand what is in the mind of the franchise management.

@@GitXxxd I played rugby, including in the national team of an Eastern European country, a country that defeated France several times in the 70-80s. I have seen enough rugby and this fact gives me the right to have an opinion about rugby. Your attempt to be ironic by inviting me to coach the Crusaders is childish. The fact is that under the current technical management, Crusaders won 2 matches out of 12. You don't need to be an expert to understand that the main cause of the historical counter-performance of Crusaders is the coaching team, especially the head coach and the disastrous decision of the Crusaders CEO. Grow up, then give your opinion on the subject of rugby!

It doesn't matter how many times you watch that, it's definitely not a penalty try. For starters the Canty Lock only bobbled the Ball then the Brumbies player slapped it dead. So that's a knock-on in goal by the Brumbies. Then even if the Ref somehow missed that, there's no certainty of a try so no penalty try, and no penalty either as a bobbled ball in goal isn't a penalty, and it was bobbled gently a few centimeters backwards so wasn't going to go dead off the Canty player, & even if it had it's only a dropped ball, not a deliberate slap. The only wild swinging arm was from the Brumbies player.

Non biased judgement here: he absolutely made to knock the ball into touch. Second view angle makes it more obviousl.

I feel for new Zealand rugby .... all your star players are in Europe it’s so bad that when watching Ireland vs New Zealand it’s like watching New Zealand A ( Ireland ) vs New Zealand B (All blacks) crusaders are the bench mark of your rugby and it looks like anyone good enough to play for crusaders has traveled out .... this is just an amateur team and so will the all blacks

Woeful crusaders utterly clueless rudderless void of ideas and worse still playing with that cohesiveness I switched it off after first 15 mins because they could not complete any phase with open play

hi thank you for your reply I must say they did improve and were unlucky to loose right at the end also I missed Sevu R try being dissalllowed which was wrong but ur right give them more time also v the blues this weekend should prove the acid test and I’m a blues man tho living in London tho my daughter and I went to see crusaders when they were on tour here and the beat Bristol bears also my daughter and I went to see the crusaders at twickenham when they were without a stadium so was a good watch Thank you good feedback
