Round 2 Pukekohe Production Race Series, Races 1, 2 & 3

Jump on board for Round 2, and our second to last round at Pukekohe Park Raceway ever with Production Race Series and so it's no wonder why this is the biggest grid of cars we've had at this circuit, with 45 entries on the day!
0:15 - Race 1
7:10 - Race 2
14:40 - Race 3
It was very difficult to post a clean lap in qualify given the amount of traffic and I ended up with a best lap of 1m13.9 placing me 24th on the grid. To be fair I'm not usually any good at qualifying on the best of days so this was fairly standard.
Big grid of cars ahead to battle with, race 1 went well, clawing my way up to 13th overall and 1st in Class A (0 - 2000cc). After an incident late in the race, we were lead to the finish for 2 laps by the safety car.
Race 2, reverse grid handicap saw me starting on the 6th flag drop in 18th position. This was a relatively clean but short race, finishing in 2nd overall and 1st again in Class A.
Race 3, reverse grid handicap I started in 14th position after a red flag stopped the race on lap 1. After completely stuffing up the restart, thinking that we were lining up for a full race restart, I dropped a few positions while feeling very confused by the rolling start. Despite this I still managed to get back to 4th position overall and 1st in Class A.
Certainly one of my best days on track yet - 3 class wins from 3 races, a new PB lap time of 1m09.3 and a new best top speed of 213km/hr... not at all bad for a 993cc 3-banger :D

Looks like it is very fast, wish we had a series like that down here. What boost are you running now? Are you running slicks?

It is a great series and lucky to have so many tracks to race at across the season. Boost was around 1.5bar and tyres are Zestino 07RS... 205/50R15 For the first time I matched my best lap on Hankook Z214 which is just mind blowing to think that a road tyre that performs brilliantly in the wet is capable of performing along side a race slick in the dry! All things on the car otherwise are equal
