Sure would be nice to have a setting to make everyone anonymous. I think that would help alot. I do realize people are playing to win, but if you know who you are playing against you know their style, plus if you like or dislike someone that can effect your play as well.

Knowing your opponent’s is part of the game imo. Pete chooses to share his games that gives him advantages and disadvantages. Others do the same. If I knew I was going against Pete I’d be sure to learn his style. Just like if you know you’re going against a chess grand master you learn their styles.

@@Daddysnumber3son The difference is chess is a solo game. Risk has 6 players with the option to Ally. I.E.- If Pete and say Kylted are in the same game with 4 randoms the odds of them allying and knocking everyone else out first is super likely, unless it is super advantageous to betray each other. But in a blind game they may ally with the noobs and it makes the game more even.

​@TheKillPeteStrategy pete have you noticed the new hack going around in this game. I played 2 games today where players hacked the game and traded in cards they didnt have. They would have 1 or 2 cards and trade and get 100 or 500 troops on turn 2. This really pissed me off. The last game I clearly got this guy beat and then he traded 0 cards to get 500 troops out of thin air

Black player here. Great playing with everyone! The tournament has been a blast. Huge thanks to everyone involved. Got pretty amped up at the end. I was so focused on that kill i wasnt sure if i had the 70 after. Took to long to think about it. But hey, ill take the 11 pts considering the rought start I had in that game. 14:47 Most Troops, Most Percentage of board, and we are looking at only one more person to go this round (end of round 3). You are starting to look like you could just take the right side of the board (eventually), but it isn't like you could hold it with portals, and with 70% you have to cross over. 19:30 It's still the same here nearing the end of round 4, having not seen blue's play yet, white (pete) leading on both accounts, so good. 27:49 after 6 rounds you only pull centaurs (Calvary). Wacky.

Hi Pete, congrats on the win! Question: how do you feel about the table gifting you and the blue player such an incredible open with no policing in a tournament game like this? There doesn't really seem to be any kind of soft breaking going on in this game (the table let you and blue hold 15+ territories nearly the whole game), and I didn't really see it in my own game either, even though there is plenty of opportunity and imo incentive to do so. Should this happen? Is the table just not skilled enough, or is this actually meta?

It's actual meta I'm thinking. There's no way to discuss this in game (because that would be cheating) so the fact that we see such extreme iterations of good neighbour this often is that that's the way the meta has shifted.

I'm curious how good these settings would be: Europe, Fog of War, Blizzards, No Alliance, Fixed, 70%. You're not really sure how much territory anyone has, so there would be a bit more desperation, I think.

@Josh-tb9yq na red was too risky he would have to get too lucky on the splits with blue you need to get a good roll once on the big stack but with blue you need to get several luck rolls cause of the splits a 72 may kill a 69 but not with splits. he also had a 15 next to blue so that kill would be more likely with fewer splits

Blue was two splits, three with bad dice. Make a 19 on the 7, split 5 run it up into the other seven, run the remaining the other direction. Make 68, hit the 23, split 4 for perfect dice on the 1, blast through the portal and clean the rest. The 70 was a sure thing, but blue was a very likely successful kill.@@etaashdwaraka2455

Seems like looking at it that last turn you could have taken red out and gotten the bounty instead of focusing on 70... then 70 would have just been a few territories away... unless I'm missing something that would have made the kill impossible.

Nah. Easily had red kill. Maybe not if players before him hadn’t made the set increase, and clear out some of the path. But that’s what makes the game hard. Your turn can quickly change by what’s done right before you.

Hi Pete, I've been watching you for something like a year and even started playing not long ago, I really enjoy you'r content and I was wondering (cause I looked it online and didnt really understand) how is the ranking system works in terms of: 1. what considered a win(does second place also a win?) 2. if someone botted out lets say in a 3 players game and the bot is not just stacking up does will he automatically get third place after some time? cause I've had alot of times when someone botted out and the second player just hit me then the bot wins first place. 3. do you get points on eliminations also ? (I saw a post on reddit says you do but im not sure)

Second place is a loss Bots that start as players earn placement for where the bot places. Bots that start as bots are worth nothing. The neutral bot goes MIA after ten mins and locks in placement at that point. You only get points for eliminations in some tournaments not in ranked.
