Hi Ryan. Aussie contractor again. Oats/lucerne (alfalfa) mix will make some of the best silage there is. You baked to dry though should be 50 to 60 percent moisture. We had that same mix in late 90s. Tested the best lab had ever done. 24 percent protein and over 13 mega joules energy. You could feedlot steers only on that and get same weight gains as a full feedlot mix ration

Another great video Ryan and great drone footage also, I always love the music you use as it fits whatever you are doing, say fast paced or slow pace. How's married life going as I always thought that the two of you would be good together and you both have a act for farming. I'll give you both a tip and leave it at that. A good marriage revolves around good communication and I have told my wife many times that I can't read your mind and in June it made our 42 years of marriage and in the last 3 years we have become grandparents to 4, 1 boy and 3 girlsbad thing is mom and dad passed away 4 and 5 years ago and they would have loved to be with them.

Great video. I have seen those long "tubes" in Manitoba Canada where I am and wondered how they were made. I play Farming Simulator 19 and it is nice to see the actual machine. There are also tow behind wrappers that they use a lot of in Europe to make silage but in North America it is mostly bunker silos if I am not wrong.

Do you prefer wrapping bales over building a shed for your hay? Seems like it would be cheaper and less time consuming in the long run. Although, I understand if you want to bale wetter hay, you wouldn't be able to do that.

They’re wrapping them to turn them into silage. Has to be air tight. Putting them in a barn without being wrapped they would rot
