Can someone in the comments explain to me how simply obtaining a license/state ID automatically allows you to vote in some states, especially red states. I've worked as voting poll worker and manager in elections in NJ, and it's really damn hard to vote if your name is not on the list of "citizens" and even when your address is off by a digit or a town, you get a "provisional" vote. And from there, the county adjudicates your vote and sends you a letter stating if your vote counted or not after it verifies the validity of your ability to vote. How is it done in states outside of the uniparty system of NJ?
