@@gunnerwright7793 It's the real world, but it is strange. For us in Serbia there is the perception that US Embassy runs Serbia lol. Cause for example the only reason Gay Pride Parade happen in Serbia is the West and US Embassy in particular. The state brings out like 5k SF police to secure it, they weld the damn manholes etc. lol I would suppose he was just a golden goose for Vucic to milk for some nationalist propaganda "hey we got this murican spy he came to kill me omg" etc etc So I'm spitballing here but I guess pure propaganda value for him was enough to take some US Embassy heat for. I'm pretty sure he was never gonna use him in some Russia-USA exchange. We are surrounded by NATO and EU, officially we are neutral, realistically Serbia does what USA says 99% of the time. This was just 1% and USA obviously didn't care enough about this guy. Probably to make sure other ex SF know "you get caught doing contract work, we don't know you".

@@brankomilicevic6904 Serbia is the flashpoint for NATO vs Russia. Its sad they demonize Russia. NATO/USA/Israel dont want Russia into Western economy and EU. follow US/NATO and Serbia will have more lgbt parades. Ally with Russia and you can keep your Christian values.

As someone who has never served I have a thoroughly unimportant general question about the military. It seems that in the last 15 or 20 years, in press conferences the military has started mispronouncing “military cache.” They are pronouncing it as kaShā (which would be spelled cachet and means respected or admired). Cache should be pronounced cash. Weapons cache, computer cache. I find it embarrassing for the country when a General mispronounces the word in a press conference. Once again I know this unimportant and I’m not trying to knock anyone. Just trying to find out if anyone knows how or why that happened.

It's interesting if not important. I know slang words, and small seemingly unimportant inside jokes spread faster than wildfire in the military

Well…this was freaking interesting. Welcome home frogman. I once got scammed in a used car deal by a first generation Serbian American who served in the army in Iraq, and then later owned a weed extracts company in Denver. I had flown in from Texas to buy the car and drive it back. He had lied to me about a fresh head gasket that he had a receipt for… The head gasket was actually blown, but I trusted the papers that he gave me and his word instead of checking the coolant myself. That was the second car deal where I either got scammed, or there was an attempted scam by an Eastern European guy. The other guy was Slovenian…
