You miss the point. Gramma was a sadist and brute who ENJOYED beating people into a pulp. He was borderline psycho. He sat there waiting and waiting for hours and hours as they kept on playing, anticipating, drooling about getting to smash Mike's face in and literally even beat him to death. When Teddy lost, Gramma was robbed of that opportunity and literally wasted hours sitting there for nothing, his release of pounding a man into a bloody pulp stolen from him. It pissed him the fuc* off like crazy....which is why he slammed the chair at the end.

dude, the normalization on this clip is all screwed up. you can't include a maximum amplitude beep and normalize the audio right. The beep throws off the amplitude processing of the rest of the audio which results in this sad clip where the beep is crazy freaking loud and the rest of the dialogue is much too quiet.

@@cnnctcable1396thats my thought. it wasn't bout the money. he wanted to cause bodily harm to mike since he Voged for worm on his debt. my other theory could be Gramer was pi$$ed cuz that $15,000 Mike owed him likely went straight to his employer KGB to cover the huge loss he suffered by the end of the film so Gramer likely got nothing in the end😅 at the end Mike made Gramer look like KGB's lackey that could not get the job done or collect.

In real life, it would be insane not to leave after getting square with KGB and Gramma and already being 1/2 way to paying the professor back. But this works great for the movie. Plus, you wonder how much a degenerate would really be able to walk away, even up. Great movie that never gets old.

I think KGB had pocket Aces and he just went bonkers in the last hand haha.. idk what draw he was talking about tho... this only means that he was playing on tilt due to that 2 4 made hand where he should have been paid off.. KGB is a loose aggressive player and Matt Damon plays loose passive style trapping him.. Great scene, very realistic and satisfying😂

I love this movie, but this final scene irks me. Because in this world where KGB is lofted as the card shark to end all card sharks, the Oreo tick is the MOST OBVIOUS TELL IN THE UNIVERSE. Unless everyone in the room is just scared that he'll kill them unless they let him win and they only let him win so they can continue to play there, it makes no sense that Mike is the only rounder to ever pick up on it. It would have been better story writing to give KGB something far less noticeable and unconscious...like a blink-and-you-miss-it muscle or eye twitch. Maybe a barely perceptible rubbing together of fingers. I don't know. ANYTHING except reaching into a clearly marked box of cookies that he only eats when he's on a streak and listening to the cream separate only when he has a slam dunk hand. It would be more believable and it would tie back to Mike's voiceover at the beginning of the film about reading tells and the constant emphasis on Mike having a gift for reading people. I feel like this over-the-top tell was only included because 1.) the writers wanted KGB to have a quirky "tick" and 2.) because screenwriting 101 seems to dictate that you have to always write to the slowest person in any given audience. (I know that they got rid of it for the final hand, but it was still silly for it to be there to begin with.)

Love this comment, Basically for the Oreos to be in that chip holder is a tell as is. Great movie and the overall NY cold winter type of grind was really good too. We all have been back at work cursing under are breath after taking a beating.
