🙋🇳🇱 What a suprise! I am so flattered that you mention my tip about breakfast preps with bonne maman jars😊 I hope you enjoy your proteïne snacks. This week I will try your selfcare suggestions 'listening to your body' and 'being aware of good smells' Actually I was already thinking of cutting a few nice branches of the deep purple lilac from my garden to put in a vase this afternoon.

Congrats on 26 years of love Diane! Getting the children involved in the home chores when they are young and find it fun is so important! I think I will do all four of the challenges this week. Today I already stopped to rest while working in the garden and just lay on the grass and looked up at the sky and savoured the smell of spring and the warmth of the sun. That is what I needed. I also have a check-up scheduled next week.

Looking forward to self-care 3&4 this week - desperately needing a little basic pampering and focus on nourishing foods right now! Also I deal with the "dressing by mood" situation by using "outfit formulas"- currently I have several sets each of "pants+ pretty top", "leggings+ tunic dress", and "cute midi dress" options, so I have a good place to start. It's not strictly regimented, but it's also not overwhelming.

Thanks Diane for the book recommendations. E C Bateman Stamford mysteries struck a chord. I visited Stamford this week, parked in the grounds of Burghley House and walked from there into town, enjoying the budding trees and glimpses of deer across the parkland. The town is always a favourite place to visit - has a smattering of independent shops still and hubby and I enjoyed a cafe lunch. Going to see if I can find EC Bateman on Libby.

I truly get inspired by your videos. My challenge is that I have a very demanding job and I let it take over my weekdays, then by the weekend, I'm exhausted and want to rest and recover. Therefore, it is rinse & repeat every week. I know that I have discretionary time during the week that I waste. I'm going to be more conscious of the time that I have 10-15 minutes free to do the zone cleaning, etc. Also, I love the idea of lighting a candle in the morning, or where I'm doing cleaning. Thank you so much for all your effort! 💖

What I need this week is some colour. We haven’t got to spring yet - no flowers, green lawn or leaves on the trees - so my husband and I are going to the garden centre for our date night and will breathe in the scents and fill our eyes on the colours there.

Taking care of your health is a very good point. One thing I think a lot of older ladies forget is their feet. I went to the chiropodist recently. He pointed out how small problems casn soon escalete, causing seriouse problem. Check your feet keep them moisturised and make sure your shoes fit properly. In winter it is so easy to forget your feet as out of sight out of mind!

1. I want to put all my clothes in the wardrobe and put some scent in there. We bought it a year ago, but my wardrobe was still not finished, so I've been living out of boxes and bags. 2. I have HelloFresh all evenings, but tomorrow my brother comes over and I ordered a special dinner. 3. I'm going to a terribly stressful time now. But eventhough this is something I might need to do, I wouldn't know what would help help me with the stress. So I'll think I skip this one. 4. I'm glad that I managed to get my journey to health up and didn't fall off the wagon. My diet is going well, but starting tomorrow I wanted to pick up exercises at home. (I was doing every day biking, but I can not leave the house anymore.)

Hi Diane, this isn't a question but a bit of encouragement hopefully related to the question you had about doing a few minutes out in the garden each day. This is something I've been really focusing on recently as I have several small garden spaces plus an allotment and can easily feel overwhelmed by it all, even though I really enjoy being out there. I've been slotting in a 10 minute gardening session as part of my morning routine and just wanted to share that it's working really well. Like you said, I would often think that I don't have time to do a task because it's a bigger job and so I would put it off until I had a bigger chunk of free time - and that time would never come! Meanwhile, the job would keep nagging at me over and over again. Recently, for example, I'd been thinking that I musr cut some overgrown clematis out of my cherry tree before the blossom came. It seemed like a big job to me so I'd been putting it off. Then as I began my new 10 minutes a day routine, I decided to break it down and just do what I could do in 10 minutes using my timer. It took me 4 days in total to do something I had been putting off for weeks. My cherry tree is no longer choked by the overenthusiastic climber and I managed to get it done just in time for the blossom to flower which I'm now able to enjoy every day. Little and often really does work! I'm also finding it really helps to break my outdoor spaces into zones like I know you've done in the past. I hope that might be helpful to others as we come to the time of year when the outside is calling!
