Roush is top notch, but it would be a lot cheaper to just get a XLT, STX, or Lariat and get a Ford Performance supercharger kit installed with a warranty. Add Ford Performance by Borla exhaust, some wheels and tires and call it a day.

Chris M. Totally, even a Platinum with V8 and Roush supercharger would be cheaper and more comfortable albeit marginally slower due to weight

@@sdubg8981 and it's "the most reliable supercharger"😂 also meaning the slowest, I can find an 18 10 speed that somebody got repossessed for around 30 k and throw an $8500 Whipple kit on it and out run that 80 thousand dollar truck for half the price, and if your only paying the 80,000 for the warranty just remember... You can buy two for the price of one 🤷🏼‍♂️

that's what happens when a dealer adds a bunch of stuff to a truck, it's all marked up 500%. Take a base model truck and upfit it, and charge an arm and a leg. Performance wise you'd be better off just buying a lariat and throwing a supercharger on it.

I had built a 1978 that was pulled from a junk yard. By the time i was done, it got 6 MPG on the highway and 4 MPG in the city. If you have a heavy foot, when you step on it it changed to 3 GPM. It was fast though.

Roush Nitemare doesnt have to have those amber lights because its not wider then 80" they do this in Nitemare only for looks. Roush offroad version because of wider Fender flares has to have them since they put offroad version above 80"

So.. I'm an engineer in michigan, who works with the rousch guys regularly... this is mostly "badging" for the most part... save yourselves some cash and do these mods on your own.. forget the name plates and logos.. just do the important mods and forget the bs.

And it has so much more potential. It can easily reach 800hp with of course more boost, some sort of race fuel, and a 50 shot. I would definitely love to keep my cars supercharged, but with the price, turbos are becoming more practical. So now I have an 03 cobra with a fully built 98 cobra motor and a 80mm turbo. I can't wait to see what it can do on kill mode once I change the fuel system and trans.

T&C-Just curious...if I wanted to order a truck, how would I order it to ensure I get the 9.75 rear diff? I was talking to my local dealer and want to get a regular cab XLT 6.5’ bed 4x4 with the 5.0 and want the 9.75”. I was told I couldn’t get it in that configuration (only the 8.8”). The reason I want it is because I ‘d love to install a Roush S/C and thought the 9.75” would be better. What do you think? Thanks!

Yeah but that's for a high trim Corolla, meanwhile this truck is just an XLT with an appearance package. The Lariat and Platinum trucks have LEDs. Trucks will always be more expensive than cars.

@@Ballista762 Lol quit being ignorant dude. Base model Tacomas and Tundras also don't have LEDs so this isn't just for domestic manufacturers. Trucks already cost more to produce than a little econobox like a Corolla, LEDs just make them cost more. Also it only costs $100 for a solid set of LEDs that you can just swap in anyways. If not having LEDs already in your car is such a deal breaker, then I wonder how you managed to buy cars 10 years ago when only high trim levels of any car had LEDs.

I bought the nightmare lariat and I did some tweaks in my opinion to make it look better. I had the exhaust rearranged at the end of the sidesteps on both sides in the back, then had every thing blacked out along with it being lowered a bit and having the interior redone as I did not like it cause it looked so cheap like shelby’s interior.

The supercharger is actually designed and manufactured by Eaton. It is their new TVS (Twin Vortices Series) R2650 which is an upgraded, larger and more efficient version of the TVS R2300 supercharger. The TVS R2650 is the same supercharger used by ROUSH, Ford Performance, Edelbrock, Street Legal Performance, Magnuson, Harrop Engineering and VMP Tuning which all have a version of the TVS supercharger that’s modified to allow for things like different pulley sizes, integrated clutch & step up gears and Air Management System (AMS) with integrated intercoolers in the intake manifold to work with many different types of vehicles. The majority of roots type superchargers on production cars and trucks are built by Eaton. The 2019 Corvette ZR1 and 2020 Shelby GT500 both use the Eaton R2650 with 14 lbs of boost in the 755 horsepower ZR1 and 12 lbs of boost in the 760 horsepower GT500. Eaton is probably the best known and largest supercharger manufacturer in the world. Here’s the info about the new TVS R2650. Eaton TVS R2650 Supercharger: VOLUME PER ROTATION- •2,650 cubic centimeters INSTALLATION- •Single boosting only OUTLET DESIGN- •Radial Core features: -The high twist, 4-lobe rotor design is 15% larger than the TVS 2300 and features several improvements to maximize efficiency and performance at upper RPMs: •170 degree twist (versus 160) •Better sealing with optimized "Length to Diameter" ratio •Increased durability with larger bearings and timing gears •Pressure relief ports in bearing plate for reduced input power -R2650 advantages over R2300: •4% more efficient •15% larger displacement (2650cc versus 2300cc) •18% less input power required •25% more air flow at 18,000 RPM and 14 psi boost (2.0 pressure ratio) TVS technology can be utilized in a wide variety of automotive applications - from a traditional single supercharger application to a compound boosting system with a turbocharger and supercharger, we can work with you to develop a system that fits your needs. Engine size is no problem too. We have developed applications in small 1.0 liter 3-cylinder engines to massive 755 horspower 6.2 liter engines.

Mitchell great video as I expected. But two things I have to question you about. First, the headlights. I noticed they are halogens. halogens are not very good, not bright at all. This vehicle should have the much brighter and safer LED lights. Second when you showed the 4 wheel drive system and selector, you mentioned that you were really excited about this truck being a two wheel drive? Great truck, awesome video. Hey, been a while since you have done comparison race, how about the nightmare compared to a lifted 650hp Roush? Do you know the 0-60 on lifted Roush? My guess if nightmare is 4.3, lifted could still be just under 5.

My Factory Bullitt is faster then that thing . If I wanted a fast truck or SUV I would buy a Jeep Trackhawk , think its 0-60 is around the 2.7 second mark . A Lamborghini Urus woulg be better as well . Truck aerodynamics suck and they always will
