Thanks for coming to my hometown, and beautiful city of Tulsa! I've lived in Claremore and Chelsea, plus have been to all the places you showed on here. You did a great job on this one, especially the Will Rogers Memorial. You probably traveled down Patti Page Boulevard in Claremore, named after the singer. Her real name was Clara Ann Fowler, and she was born in Claremore. We had a dairy company called Page Glencliff, and she chose her stage name of Page from that. She was known for the songs "The Tennessee Waltz", "Old Cape Cod", and "How Much Is That Doggie In The Window?" I can't wait to see where you are going next!!

Hey Jordan Sorry Nissans are known transmission failure….you were lucky to get well over 100K miles with it. I would recommend a Toyota… if you go used please get a pre purchase inspection by a trusted mechanic. Because new Toyotas are in short supply Mazda or Honda would a fair 2nd choice 2nd choice. Avoid Kia, Hyundai, Nissan, GM, Ford, Subaru. Love you videos!

Ike’s Chili has been in T-Town forever. So has El Rancho Grande and it is so good! Last time I went there the catalytic converter was stolen off my Honda Element in broad daylight while I was inside eating! You found two of my favorite stores - Decopolis and Buck Atom. Decopolis has an art deco museum inside it. Tulsa is famous for its art deco buildings, mostly downtown, built during the oil boom of the 1920s. Leo DiCaprio was in Buck Atom’s while in town filming KOTFM. You missed the gigantic Golden Driller at the fairgrounds but you’ve probably seen it before. There’s a larger than life Will Rogers statue inside the U.S. capitol bldg in a hallway where MSNBC often interviews lawmakers. You can see Will standing behind the person being interviewed.

Love the Route 66 series even with your spot of car trouble Jordan. carry on. My grandfather used to quote Will Rogers but I will say I didn't know about his story. Love the Blue whale! So many interesting things to see. Last weekend I drove down to Kansas City and got a Knucklehead s tshirt, A place you totally should check out, Union station KC my trains were not open due to the KC chiefs getting their Super Bowl rings event space taken but I did get to see it, andu the stadiums and downtown and made it home to Omaha in time for the Big boy Union Pacific engine at the College world series. I was born and raised in California, but my parents were raised in Chelsea and are buried there, along with all of my grandparents, and several cousins still live there. At one point, it seemed like most of the town was made up of Martins! I spent several wonderful summers in that quaint little town, walking and riding horses in the country, fishing, etc.

That Route 66 marker with the small section of road is what I told you about earlier but there actually is a small section of the original Route 66 similar to what you saw but it takes a little work to find it. The section of road I found was about a half mile of road you can still drive on.

So sorry about you car Jordan! What a bummer! I had something very similar happen in Pierce Arizona, which had a bar and real estate office…on a holiday! Had to have a rental sent from Tucson, but the whole thing turned into quite an adventure. I love road trips just for these kind of historical markers, I can never resist a historical marker. And I love all the cheesy tourist traps too! Thanks ..I’ve never made that trip! And you get a new car!
