Very helpful and detailed video--thank you Sharon! A couple of clarifying questions: What do you mean by a jumper --thin or thick? sweater or a jacket? Under Night: did you bring 2 Icebreaker hoodies - 1 thin and 1 bulky?

Hello again Leslil See my reply on the other video and check out this article which are the choices I’d make now. Much will depend on the time of year and forecast. Now, I’d take one lightweight jumper for day use and one heavier jumper for night use. Basically you need to have a dry set of clothes to change in to overnight, if it’s freezing, you’ll sleep in them. The huts are warm though as there’s so many people per room. Hope this helps. 😀 www.freewheelingkiwi.com/blog/essential-te-araroa-gear-list

@@FreewheelingKiwi You're welcome. I do like the shots where you film yourself enjoying the real world, somewhat like that German painting from the romantic era. Keep going!

Hi there. I like this video but how did you go to the Routeburn shelter from Queenstown? By bus or your car? Also how did you come back to Queenstown from divide? Thank you
@FreewheelingKiwi Жыл бұрын
Hi and thanks for watching and your interest. I shuttled from Queenstown to the Routeburn Shelter (near Glenorchy) then when I got to Lake Howden I left the Routeburn Track and walked out on the Greenstone Track (two more nights) which takes you back near Glenorchy. Then a shuttle back to Queenstown. The entry and exit of the Routeburn and the Greenstone/Caples Track are about 20km apart. Check out this playlist for the full details. Are you walking Routeburn this season ? kzbin.info/aero/PL_hPtX12oueSsZjXnhUZRMI0XDX6jK0j3

Hi thank you video is awesome. I have a question. How will you turn from the divide shelter until Routeburn Shelter. Can you help me please.?

Hi thanks Diego for watching and your comments. I’m not sure I understand your question. If you are parking at the Divide, a shuttle could get you back?
