I spent a lot of time in my boss’s gold Rover 75 when I was a trainee surveyor in the early 2000s. He was a small guy and sat about an inch from the steering wheel so he could reach the pedals, and he drove too fast. It was a lovely place to be and as you say a super comfy ride. I always loved the oval dials.

I love the dials also :)

Love it. Great work. 24 years old and not a single advisory! Well done to you and your Dad and well done to MG Rover for the build quality. These are great cars

There's a Cowley 75 that I pass quite often in Newport. Looks pretty tidy from what I can see as I drive past. Good looking cars that were highly underrated.

I do like to see the Cowley ones 😊

Great work Dad! Being from Australia I see and hear a lot regarding M.O.T. angst and wondered what it was all about. My car Connie was built at Longbridge so looking forward to your future upload about POL. Oh BTW, your GoPro revealed the back side of each spoke of your steering wheel is still filthy…..many apologies mate, couldn’t help but mention it. Really good and easily digestable episode. Cheers.

Great result, and what relief! MOT day's always a bit nervy isn't it? My W reg passed 10 days ago so I know exactly how you feel 😊

Congrats on the pass with no advisories and a bit of Rickrolling thrown in for good measure. It is testament to all the hard work your dad put in. I've had a couple of passes on my Volvo XC90 and Mercedes -Benz C200 (both with some advisories) so I know that feeling of an MoT pass. I came here for the Rover 75 content but I'm enjoying the other content as I make my own car content as well.

Grats on the MOT triumph, I'm not remotely surprised it passed but zero advisories is impressive. 75 looking majestic in the driveway.

For me. Leave the wheels and interior until another day. I would clean up the rust underneath and protect it with some type of inhibiter. Then tackle the cosmetic items.

Sounds a good plan! It's a real shame we don't have a ramp 😂

Well done Jon and Dad on a brilliant job on the 75 and a great pass now to enjoy that beautiful car to the max (even if it’s a Cowley one 😂) and the fantastic ride! My dad always wanted a new one it was the car which always eluded him financially and when he did get to place an order MG Rover went under but the 400/45 we had were superb Maybe look at wire brushing and under sealing underneath something like lanoguard or bilt chamber! When the other sill is done it will be great You have both worked so hard on that car

That's a great result for any car but especially a 24 year old one. You and your dad have done a great job. I feel like Tesco Finest sardines are needed in celebration. Reassuring to see how solid and shiny it is underneath and good to see you on the Rick Rolling Road on he way home. Enjoyed seeing the purple auto K11 Micra in shot too. Does this mean it's coming out to play soon?
@JonCoupland9 ай бұрын
Thanks 😊 ... I'll not be on X Factor just yet however. Micra content is coming soon ... But sadly not to play. To get back on the road and then find a new home :(

A great result so well done on the pass, another year of Rovering!! But i would consider changing those rear arms at some point. Once the rust sets in, they can fail quite quickly, as mine did on my tourer, leading to the rear wheel scraping on the wheel arch as the arm started to bend!!

Aye it's on the list to do now ☺️

Hi Jon...thanks 4 the video....congratulations for the MOT pass..the 75's did used to rust underneath...probably because people dont wash the salt off in Winter... best to wire brush the car underneath and spray it with Waxoyl or Dinitrol... red Diesel is very good as an initial treatment...but dont spray it on the brakes... Good Luck....Nice looking car....Bob...Paignton........
