Rowing the new Henley Course on EXR app: The Ultimate Virtual Adventure

I recorded the screen while rowing the new Henley Course on the EXR indoor rowing app so you can Row Along with me and check it out.
Something a little different from my normal RowAlong workouts. Instead of listening to my chat and watching me row, you can row along to the full screen recording of my row so you can see how amazing this map is, and listen to the sounds of the app.
Or you can whack on some of your own music and RowAlong!
I did this at 20spm / 2:03 pace - which works out at EXACTLY 36 minutes.

Have they fixed the huge lag between the stroke on the rower and animation on the screen? I had it but was really putting me off. Might have another look if they have

No, not on the view that I recorded. I think there’s a view that’s just the tip of the boat, no rower, so that doesn’t have sync problems. I totally understand why there’s a lag, but I’ll suggest to them about an AI “guess” to make up for the lag.

nice!! have you tried EXR in the Water Rower? Do you see differences in the metrics for the same effort?

Not yet. I was going to do todays row on the Water rower, but it was so hot outside, I worried the heat would damage the water drum. Metrics are very similar when comparing. But that’s because I use the Smart Row pulley for WaterRower.

8,921m at 2:01. With max HR at the end of the row. I rowed it as a definitely mid - tier endurance row, since my last 2 workouts were at Maffetone pace, so I used the opportunity of this workout. It was like a zen meditation. If there were not these ringing sounds on some stages of the row, I would just listen to birds and pace-setting water splashes. Great row, great endorphins. Thank you!
