Another work of art. Alongside The Detectorists, and Mortimer and Whitehouse Go Fishing, this is just a wonderful snapshot of British countryside through the eyes of a comic genius. Please keep them coming. Love the big leap from twisted ankle to murder. CD#123 (missed the prize draw by 1!)

A very pleasant walk indeed. Six miles I would agree is a good distance to take you up to lunch and a nice beer. I’ve been doing my Epping Forest walks from my book this year and 2 weeks ago I did an epic 17 miler up Lea Valley canal before the soggy weather set in. I was alone with views of London from the top of Warlies Park. It was wonderful. All the best for the coming festivities, you’ve been very entertaining to watch at lunchtime whilst I continue to work from home rather than the office. Cheers!

Great winter walk CD. Perfect winter walk would be 10 metres to the kitchen to collect a roast dinner (yum yum). You should also add tree surgeon in action to the spotters guide. Finally, I think you should get a cool dudes dog to accompany you on some of the walks (and to make you feel safer). You could give it a Polish name also, a quick google search suggests 'fajny' which means 'cool' and it would be awesome to hear you calling this name in public without being arrested.

There's also a much smaller church in Ashcroft Lane, Finchdean, behind a flint wall & an iron gate. The smallest chapel I've ever seen 18ft x12ft! Well worth including if you're going on this walk. Also the pub 'The Castle' was used by the 'Hawkhurst gang' a band of notorious smugglers, who when caught, took that very road past Idsworth church on their way to the gallows!

A pretty cool church on the prairie, springs to mind Hampshire History states that the church 'captures the heart, even from afar". This is definitely top of my list & i'm sure it will capture my heart too. I can't wait to see the Medieval Wall art & savour the outside view. I wonder why there isn't a graveyard/burial on site? I once worked for a firm at Rowlands Castle & never even knew this church existed! Pointless categories: Bicycles, Zodiac signs & Men. Your emojis are great! There are so many to remember now! Looking forward to seeing the nextvideo & Pointless too! 🌞🚶‍♂️🚴

A lovely winter walk! Nice one. I reckon 6 miles is about spot on for winter time, though maybe only 3 if it's raining or particularly cold. 2 miles would even be long enough for me to justify a guilt free hot chocoate in front of a fire in a country pub if it was both cold and wet! Excited to see you on Pointless! I'd be terrible on that show, but might do ok if 'tourist attractions/historic sites found on islands in the English channel' were a category... and maybe be ok with a missing words/letter round if the category was 'titles of Agatha Christie novels' or 'lesser known characters in Harry Potter.'

That 1 percent fear of death on a walk thing? I think it's a normal part of being somewhere that you're not familiar with. I do a regular local walk which is almost always a thing of tranquility and zen like peace. @@cdwc That's a very tough question as there's a surprising amount of variety in her work. 'Murder on the Orient Express' was the first one I read as a child so it holds a special place in my heart and is a classic example of the 'isolated group so the killer must be among them' mystery with a brilliantly inventive ending; 'The Murder of Roger Ackroyd' is one of my favourite Poirots and contains a twist that (I believe) represented a first in the murder mystery genre; 'And Then There Were None' has a slow-building tension and sense of isolation that is nicely chilling; 'By The Pricking of My Thumbs' is one with Tommy and Tuppence as the detectives and gave me some very strange dreams about little houses and old people; 'Curtain' is brilliant but desolate and heartbreaking. That's not even thinking about her non-detective work and short stories...
