U are an excellent instructor. I am a very impatient person. U have a way to slow me down and actually absorb what u are teaching. Thank you !!!

I really appreciate your comments Tom. I know that I try to put a lot of information in my videos, and sometimes that frustrates people when they just want to get down to the basics. But I'm glad you were able to sit through my tutorials and absorb what I'm trying to teach. I hope you're getting some great shots with your stabilizer, and please let me know if you have any problems or questions.

Hey Otis, Abir from India. You are a fantastic teacher I felt. Patient and calm. Not many ppl here can afford film school education. would be great if you could come out with cinematography lessons. Beginners would grasp your teaching style well because of the simplicity u deliver with. There are loads of cinematography lessons for beginners in the internet but most are either by amateurs or by people who make things very difficult to understand... Maybe you could think of that. Thanks

Hello Abir. Thank you so much for your nice comment...I really appreciate it. I had thought about doing some basic cinematography lessons, but there are two problems. One is that I wouldn't even know where to begin. There is so much information and things that people need to learn that it would take a very long time to create even the most basic beginners lessons. The second problem is that I work full time as a camera operator in Los Angeles and we regularly work 12-14 hours a day...and that leaves very little time for me to create the videos. But if I get some time off this summer I will definitely consider it. Thanks again, and keep shooting and learning.

Aprende a pronunciar Hi, is it possible to record yourself?.. No need to turn the stabilizer but place the camera facing yourself? Thank you
@jamesj.6 жыл бұрын
Really learned alot with your videos. I do alot of video shooting at the lake trying to record RC boats. Just wondering if this stabilizer would help with all the jerky motions I need to keep up with? I'm sure I would have to practice and use the 2 hand method to make it pivot to try and keep up. Or can you recommend a better setup? Thanks.
@OtisOriginals6 жыл бұрын
Hi James. It really depends on the types of shots you're trying to get. Are you zoomed in on a tight lens trying to keep up with the boats as they make fast or sharp turns? If so your best piece of equipment would be a good set of sturdy tripod legs and a true fluid video head...however a setup like that is going to run between several hundred to several thousand dollars. You can definitely do those shots on your Roxant Pro, but yes it is going to take some practice learning the 2 hand operating technique. Panning your shot to follow the boat shouldn't be a problem...the issue will come when the boat changes direction, and you have to slow down and stop your pan and then start panning in the opposite direction to follow the boat. Practice some pans and learn to feel how much pressure it will take your fingers to start and stop those pans. The goal is to be able to start and stop your pans without even having to think about it...in time it will just feel natural. And most importantly make sure your rig is perfectly balanced...if it isn't you're going to find your stabilizer tilting wildly all over the place and you'll just be fighting your own shots. Let me know how that works for you, or if you have any other questions. And thanks for watching!

Is it use for sony a6000?
@OtisOriginals5 жыл бұрын
The Sony a6000 weighs 0.76 pounds with a battery and memory card. So as long as the lens you use doesn't make the whole camera heavier than 2.1 pounds you should have no problems. If it does weigh more than that, watch my video "How to Balance Heavy Cameras" kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3-WpYCoht2Lhac. Thanks for your question.
