Has Nintendo LOST THEIR MINDS? $60 For A 15-Year-Old Game?

Unfortunately I'm part of the problem because I'm going to pay it. Been waiting on a rerelease of this game and it will have the 3ds levels too so its like 2 games in 1. Would've been much easier to swallow at $40

I bought the 3ds version instead because i have a 3ds. Just not really a point in buying a remaster at full price when metroid prime remastered was $40 (which is still a bit high)

I bought it cheap for the Wii U years ago from my local GameStop. So its HD still... So im ok with paying it again if its re released on switch cause i can take it on the go... Portability is the end game here. And id pay it ESPECIALLY if its a game i really liked. For instance. If they ever did a re release of the Zelda Wind Waker and twilight princess games on switch id be happy to pay it.... 🤷

Took me long time to understand it, but it takes effort to transform this game from its 3ds version to the switch version, Nintendo will not give this game for free even if it is the same game. It is just like movies, the back to the movie trilogy on dvd it is now 20 dollars and the 4K edition is 40 dollars, I don’t see people complaining and also people pay for this, is the same movie. So which one had more effort to transform to newer technology back to the future movie or the dk returns game? Probably the DK game, the back to the future they cannot change that many things, because simply is a movie they made like 30 years ago, I know there is the effort for the 4K, but probably the game has more work. If you don’t agree you can simply not buy the game, but do not support free illegal copies, this means Nintendo will not make profit from selling a copy and if you share this illegal to somebody else, if you don’t support the game maybe Nintendo sees there is no profit in this and will Not make new dk country game, better support it if you are planning on playing it. I am going to buy it and play on switch.

I love Nintendo but the prices... I'd have way more games if Nintendo didn't keep the prices so ridiculously high. This game will not sell well at all.

I dont mind re-release games but at full price its like ehhhh but I can understand where the work for transfering to new hardware and upscaling the quality goes. That alone might be worth it to some for the ease of access currently. I wish the switch had a collectors choice or nintendo selects option for a price. I used to dislike those second prints but now considering the economy im all for it.

Man it's freaking 2024 Nintendo is selling its games at this price since Switch's launch, at least in Europe. People need to get over it now.

Well thats Nintendos move for years since the Wii U. They charge re released games that much cause they KNOW you'll pay. And look at it this way they didnt have to re release it. I buy it cause i appreciate it that they listened and did it. And another factor is i love to take games that was meant for home consoles on the go. So im ok with doing that. Dont listen to these big youtubers for griping the price. If you dont like it. Dont buy it.

Edit: Disregard this comment, I'm just dumb and didn't research before saying something on the internet Or, and easier one that also just doesn't require you to buy a new console, don't know why some people don't realize this, but if you have switch online, you have this game already.

​@RoXolid so I decided to actually check the place where I thought it might be, the SNES app for the switch online service, but indeed since Returns was never on it, it's not in that app. And I accidentally told a lie. (Sorry) But, regardless of it not being in the switch apps, someone could buy a 3ds and play it on that instead, don't know the price ranges for that though... Sorry for the confusion.

I'm not even buying Thousand Year Door at $60. The controversy with that is just extra. DKCR was never worth $60.
