@@JazzVideoGuy Had the chance to see Roy Haynes just once in 1988, he played with Michel Petrucciani (Gary Peacock on bass)...A very nice trio but not that level of communication and creativity.

Thank you for the upload. (Live Under the Sky has some of my favourite performances from many greats.) R.I.P. Roy Haynes master drummer.

This trio was three people with exquisite technique and the highest level of musical sensibility. Still one of the most outstanding performances I’ve ever witnessed.

Everything he touches is gold IMHO. Weather Report got too predictable without him.

@DarkeningSkies1 yeah and Weather Report was his group in the beginning with Wayne apparently? Some shit went on

It was founded as a three leader/ composer group with Joe and Wayne. Miroslav simply didn’t like the funkier direction Joe wanted to explore. It worked out for everybody I guess but I would have loved a few more years of the weirder original group.

Wow, they all look so young, but they're playing like they're not!

Yes, the clip begins with a bit of Monk's "'Round Midnight" but the body of what you see/hear is the trio playing Monk's "Hackensack"!
