I was there my dad took me to the Garden I was only 8 years old. I was in awe of Roy Jones Jr, it looked like he was made of steel. He was cruising for the majority of the fight, respect to Trinidad for showing heart and going down swinging. I remember the Puerto Ricans came out and showed him a lot of support, they were going back and forth with the black guys but everybody showed each other respect in the end. The atmosphere in the Garden was electric that night.

@@MrMikelew2929 I guess we'll never know cuz your boy Spence ducking at never before seen all time high.... got Ring Magazine and the whole boxing world talking bout what a disgrace it is to the division considering all the greats who fought one another without any problems. Spence is Heyman's puppet. Your boy str8 scared of takin a Big Ass L. While Crawford shows no fear in the challenge. And don't forget Crawford unified that 140 lb division. Cuz thats how you do it... You don't run from becoming a undisputed unified champ. Now you wanna say something else. Oh yeah cuz there's no more to say. Some fights need to be done for Legacy. Cuz boxing spectators, real ones like me don't give a fuck about their purses. They're gonna make their money regardless. And at this point it just handicaps the sport of its Greatness.

@The so called casual I respectfully disagree with you on that. While it IS true that it is difficult to find many recognizable names on Roy's resume, I think prime Roy was just too big for Tito to handle even if Tito was in his prime. I love Tito too, but I believe Roy would have had enough skill to hold Tito off. Had prime Tito faced the same version of Roy that we seen in 2008 then I agree Tito could have won

Why he beats the second place Erroll Spence Jr by MORE THAN 3 TIMES the amount of titles defense fights with a 15 and 0 record? Yory Boy Campas, Oba Carr, Pernell Whitaker, Macho Camacho etc etc etc? By your name i assume you are Mexican? If so, is funny how the people from the same country that generates the world best aggro/offense fighters that normally struggle with technical boxers, when it comes to Tito, who actually has a very Mexican like style, it is the opposite! As a Boricua, I rooted for Tito… all the way. That being said, I knew Roy would win the fight. Jones is an undisputed champion and confortable at that weight. He has faced extremely tough contenders, and won. But one thing for certain: Tito fought valiantly amid Roy’s power. The knock down, very common for Tito to get up, and most cases knock the other guy out. He did not win this one, but he lasted the 12 rounds!

Tito wasn't a 147 pounder by this time. Even towards the end of his welterweight reign he was struggles by to make weight. He was already walking around at close ton170 pounds between fights. It was only natural that he move up in weight. It is true that Jones was the naturally bigger man, but it wasn't as lopsided a weight rematch as one might think. Check it Out! Ciao!!!
