I was sent home , I think I was let off due to my normally calm and respectful manner so they gave a written warning and left it there. I've said it before, but you mellow out once you're out of the high scrutiny positions you're in. We see it with Jaime and Gary on Sky. They were constantly at each others' throats when they played, and you can understand that it was about competition, especially during the Golden Age of Man United and for Jaime, playing after Liverpool came down from their Golden Age. Whether it was winning the league, FA Cup, or Champions League, they were constantly competing for something only one team could win. It's why Keane and Vieira were able to get together a couple of years ago and make a combined Arsenal/United XI. They weren't competing anymore, so they were able to talk a lot more calmly to each other.

Reading about Wrights England career, or lack of, for a player at his level is ridiculous. Taylor managed 38 matches and only gave Wright 9 starts and was choosing people such as Nigel Clough, David Hirst and Brian Deane ahead of him. Venables seemed to treat him even worse with game time. By the time Hoddle came in he was already 33. A player as good as Wright to never get selected for a World Cup or a Euros, when there were 3 opportunities is a joke.

3 opportunities is pushing it to be fair. He wasn’t even close in 1990, he wasn’t even a starter for palace. Should have been in the 1992 squad, was brilliant for Arsenal the season before. 1996 he was rightly left out. Wasn’t scoring at his old rate anymore and the strikers on the squad were all top class and in form. 1998 he was injured and arguably past his best anyway.

Wright has 1 more than the total of Cole and Ferdinand together. Baring in mind these 3 players scored a total of 652 league goals, the vast majority of which were in the top English division. They had a few things in common. They scored goals for fun and they weren't white. May not be a factor but I think it was

Absolutely effing brilliant, I laughed harder than a hyena. Keano is 22 carat gold and will go down in football history as a true and proper legend, and deservedly so. He is the epitome of never say die, win at all cost but never a cheat, and the same should be said about Wrighty. Of course players like them are rare, they are probably the two best examples of wearing your heart on your sleeve. No quarter asked, none given. I hated them both when they played, but I love them both now. I'm a Saints fan btw. This episode is priceless, Wrighty smashing the refs dressing room up and Keano being Keano. Both of them would face a firing squad before giving up their principles. I salute you both. Also, comedy gold with Gary as Judge Judy 😂😂😂

Love how Ian Wright always goes to Keane's house uninvited

These episodes are gold. Keane’s gone from the stoppy kid in the corner 3/4 years ago to one of the funniest pundits in football

Keano hasn’t changed at all in my opinion. But people’s perception of him has

Just about too young to have seen Ian play, but as a United fan its probably a good thing because he's a great guy from what I see of him. Fully deserved the honour. Bet Keano's face is a right picture when Wrighty shows up 😂

Having not grown up watching Wright play football and only knowing him from his punditry I found his story of smashing up the refs room so funny 😂

I always rated Wrighty as a player (from a spurs fan), can’t believe he’s 60, good pundit and makes the perfect duo with Keane 👍🏻

Keane and Wright are great together. You always know when Keane likes someone as much as you know when he doesn't. Southgate was low key brilliant - 'yeah I can tolerate him now' hahaha! Gold.
