I love it. I'm not paying to do it, but lots of other people will. The ship will be nice and empty for me to enjoy!

Good call on Royal's part. After my 2nd visit to Nassau I decided, "never again." I'll still book an itinerary with Nassau on it, but it's now always a ship day for me.

With so much investment in land-based attractions, when will RCL change their loyalty program to reward the amount cruisers spend rather than days at sea? Airlines have already moved in this direction.

Definitely checking it out. Nassau is such a drag. It wasn't until recently the Bahamamian government statted investing into infrastructure bc theybwere tired of guests staying on the ship when they are paying Royal Caribbean International to stop there.

wonder if they will have a discount if you already bought a drink package....why would I pay twice for drinks
@DJTootieBeatzСағат бұрын
That's the same thing I was thinking...if I buy the all inclusive drink pkg on the ship; then why should I pay for it again here? If that's the case, I'll be staying on the ship to drink the drinks I already paid for.

I actually love the new construction/renovation in Nassau. This paradise beach sounds exciting but i want to tour nassau again when i go, the last time i was rushed because we had elderly folks with us, so didnt get to enjoy it too much. $125-150 aint bad with alcohol included. If it will be around that range. Anything more then $150 would not be worth it. RC should include alcohol at the beach club in cococay as well!
@superturtle611773 сағат бұрын
The only question is how soon before RC drops included drinks and starts charging extra, without dropping the admission price.

Looking forward to this and I don't think it's so much that Nassau sucks, but rather it's so played out. After going there more than 2-3 times, there's not much to do so this definitely adds something of value that would make people want to get off the ship. Frankly I think Cozumel is approaching the same thing hence why I think they are building a beach club there too...

Had a lousy day at Nassau. Booked Blue Lagoon island but it rained and didn’t get to do sting ray excursion. Would have been much better without the rain.

Love the paradise island build in Nassau. Wish they had a separate alcohol band purchase as I'm sure this adds $40-80 per pass. Are we talking $129-149 per person? Thanks Matt for this great info!

Depending on the cost, I may or may not take part. If I get an offer from Casino Royale, I will definitely try. Otherwise I will stay on the boat. I am surprised that it would be drinks included. They could charge less and offer drinks as they do on Perfect Day - unlimited drink package, charge as you go or vouchers for high level C&A cruisers. More people may then take part especially for those who do not drink.

This isn’t exciting, if you have the drink package on board the ship and free food on the ship, especially if you’re on an bigger ship with water slides and great food venues already paid for, why get off to pay the same company for more food and drinks. A family of four will be $400+ … everyone will want to go just to see at first but it’s just a money grab.
@johndittmer84882 сағат бұрын
I doubt that the resort at Costa Maya will still be a thing if the Mexicans insist on taxing everyone $42 a head. If you go on a Western Cruise which includes two Mexican ports (e.g. Costa Maya and Cozumel), will they charge you twice for the tax?

Im just wondering if RCL is shooting themselves in the foot with all there very expensive cruises, drink packages, specialty dining, coco cay in Bahamas that you pay for? Will there be a backlash by passengers and people, will they stop putting money in RCL’s pockets!
