Great tour you guys & thank you so much! We are on this cruise ship during Easter Spring Break & can not wait. One of the things we like to know is if there is any ‘secret’ or hidden decks that most cruiser guest never find. They are usually at the fore or aft on one of the floors. Did you notice anything like that? (Added later: maybe I missed you visiting The Overlook. It seems it is on 2 floors & behind the AquaTheater. One is called Overlook Pods)

Yes! The Overlook is Gorgeous and behind the AquaShow with forward views during the day. It’s definitely a hidden gem! Cloud 17 surprisingly enough also felt rather forgotten by people which is great! Hopefully that stays that way with more people on the ship! 😅

Oh! And for drinks, 1400 Lobby Bar is one we think many will not try until late in the cruise… which is funny because it’s right where people enter on embarkation day/in the heart of the ship. 😂

@@JJCruise yes thanks. I’m an explorer when on a ship & can usually find secluded decks. They’re usually in front of the theater where one would walk up to the stage then scoot around a ‘secret walkway’ that leads to parts unknown (the chapel / wedding space is sometimes there too). Or on a deck utilized for cabins that’s still high enough might have a secluded small overlook with a big heavy door you need to yank open then the wind sucks it back closed. Good for Alaska glacier viewing or Panama Canal

I apologize if this has already been mentioned but when you said you hadn’t seen dueling pianos on a RC ship you dated yourself. My first cruise was in 2006 on Monarch of the Seas and my favorite memory was the dueling pianos onboard. I looked it up and they got rid of it a year later so I’m glad we sailed when we did. One of the biggest draws for me to sail on Icon one day is to spend some time in the dueling pianos bar!

It looks amazing! My one hesitation is that some parts of the ship seem to a bit difficult for people with sensory issues, certain types light sensitivity, ocular migraines. The accent lighting around the mirrors and accent shelving in the cabin seems a bit much and the pearl lighting is a lot, tbh even the thermal spa lighting seems a bit much. Central Park and the outdoor venues look amazing but some of the indoor lighting makes me a tad nervous - hoping it is more subdued in person. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It could be a lot for someone with sensory sensitivities for sure. We also noticed those sensitive to light have few seating options in Absolute Zero, but there are options. 😊

Hey guys, we were on the Inaugural with you on Icon. My wife Mima and I will be going back on the Icon in August. Taking our 8 yr old grandson. I remember back in Jan when we were on Icon seeing a little 2 person soccer game where two people sat and faced each other. There was a small soccer ball and each were basically sitting on the goal. kicking the ball to score against the opponent. I do not know where I saw that and was hoping i would see it on your tour. There is one larger pool with Royal Bay Pool. Swim and Tonic would be considered more of a medium size pool in our opinion. Cove Pool and Cloud 17 are both small. Hideaway is medium but has a wading pool vibe. 🏊🏽‍♂️

It looks like they pulled a lot of ideas from Celebrity Edge class! The champagne like hot tubs, the swings in the suite area like the "Retreat", the infinite balconies and even the murals in the suite area like on Beyond's Sunset Bar area! I know they are sister companies...but really?!😂 We always stay in suites. We've been doing Edge class last 3 cruises, Edge & Beyond 2x. We like having next to no kids on board. We have done Oasis class in Grand suites & even Owner's Suites. Icon is way overpriced for a Grand suite, like triple what we would normally pay!😳 They finally do a nice job for the suites outdoor area like Celebrity, but oh my the price. Thank you for a fantastic tour though.😊

A very good and informative video. Saw everything in detail so thank you! Initially very impressive ship, but upon further investigation, LNG versus marine fuel doesn't seem an environmentally wise choice for RC. Also, the colours!
