I was one of the last out in the last round of redundancies before the gates were closed for good. So very sad so many talented people lost their jobs.

My parents met eachother there in the late 1950s. She was a paintress and he was a caster. Last time I saw the place was before the pandemic. What a dump now. So glad I moved to Malta 17 years ago.

My grandfathers cousin was a part of the royal Doulton. Edward Albert Andrew Doulton. Died in 22. 89 years old.

Got any of the Michelin factory ? I remember going with my Dad to pick my brother up from work there in the 60s . Both gone now 😢 .
