I really wish people would drop the whole beginner bike BS. Here in the States, everyone consideres a larger bike as an upgrade and everyone trades up like crazy to get a "bigger bike" instead of getting a bike that actually fits their needs. The bike manufacturers love this, of course. I log thousands and thousands of miles a year and really appreciate a bike that fits its purpose. I think Royal Enfield build very good purposeful bikes. I think i'm going to have to get a Classic 350. Its to attractive of a deal.

Exactly this. Too many bikers are burdened with the mindset that they need a bigger bike or that smaller ones aren't capable. I rode super sports bikes all through my twenties and the desire for speed left me and I had my fill. Now I look at any bike I want and it feels liberating

Having ridden one I concur , They are a very nice machine. F.Y.I. usb is hiding L/H handle bar forward of switch block beneath clutch lever. 👍🏻😁 Thanks for taking us on the ride.

Recently subscribed. I'm waiting for my Red Chrome 350 to arrive here in the US and watched every video imaginable on this bike. Your review is by far the BEST I have seen. You rode it out of its comfort zone, hills and not slow country roads. Pros/cons were dead on. Only other bike that interested me was a Moto Guzzi V7 E5, twice as expensive though but has character. Look forward to your future reviews. I hope your knee is mending well. Thank you.

Thanks mate, I'm in the throws of recovery at the moment and just seeping some older footage out while i recover. This is a great little bike and I'll definitely get ine once i have more room in my garage! If it was me i would buy this because, like the New BSA goldstar its a forever bike that you will be able to get parts for! Moto Guzzi, at least here in NZ doesnt have a lot of support, infact, i can't even tell you where the dealerships are, yet i have a RE dealership about 5mins from my house lol. I am weary of such things as i have my first motorcycle (a hyosung GV250) and there are no longer any dealerships in NZ so when you want a part or servicing (some things i dont have tools for) you can't find the part... or anyone that wants to work on it. My next purchase will have to have a good dealership network because i don't want some orphan that is broken down with no support.

I also have a V-Strom and thinking of selling it and getting a Royal Enfield Meteor here in the US. Love my V-Strom just looking at going in a different direction I've had the Strom for over 10 years.

i love both but i would say that if you are concidering the 350 i wouldnt have it as your only bike, especially since 70mph is completely tapped out, but if you only ride back roads and go to the shops then the 350 is fine. the problem with the 650 stromper is that there is nothing that competes with it, even the new stuff out there isnt that much better that i was prepared to spend a bucketload of additional money to buy it. i would love to see a 650 or even a 500cc with about 50-60hp that has traction control ABS and Cruise Control and a few ride settings, say road, sport, and gravel. what do you think?

It appears to have the same performance envelope as my old 1972 Honda CB125, which did get me from Wellington to Nelson with wife on the back a couple of times back in the 1980s. The difference is that the Enfield will do it at a more relaxed 4500rpm instead of 6500 (the Honda redlines at 9500) and with a bit more room to stretch your legs out on.

Awesome video! I actually test rode this EXACT bike myself, and struggled to get my foot under the gear shifter when up-shifting. Did you have any trouble with this??

thanks mate, not with my old boots but yes with my new ones but you can adjust the shifter i believe

I’d like to see a 450 engine in this bike ,I think it would be a winner , the 350 is a nice bike but in the open road it struggles a bit ,old jimmy WA

Hi mate can you try Royal Enfield bulletin standard 350

I have the exactly same one, have only put 120 kilometers on it so far, but am running it in so cannot go faster than 70 kilometers an hour until I hit 500 kilometers then can go up to 80 kilometers an hour, which is a pain.
@1lupus3 ай бұрын
Aha, somebody else who actually reads the manual for run in specs. As you say max 70kms for the first 500, then max 80kms until you get past 2000kms.
@sonnyday68303 ай бұрын
@@1lupus I guess it really is up to the bike shop to inform him of the running in procedure, but not good for the person that buys the bike if they allow that.

What is it like compared to Hyosung? I noticed with the Hyosung we can see speedometer when you are riding but the enfield we cannot unless you look down slightly
@40noobnz88 Жыл бұрын
i prefer the hyosung for speed but the 350 for comfort and nostalgia. the hyosung probably handles a little better too, but they feel like very different bikes
