Hi Ian , I live around this area , and as a bike addict , I never get bored of riding these roads , I’ve plenty of bikes , but the guerrilla is going to be my next purchase, nice to see you actually blip the throttle on the downshifts , big bikes around these roads is more frustrating then enjoyable , 🏍🏍👍👍 in 44 yrs of riding these roads on most of the stupidest powerful bikes on the planet , I’ve had more fun doing it on Monkeybikes and groms , I class myself as a 62 year old teenager , but the guerrilla is next it looks a joy to ride 🏍🏍👍👍

Morning Jim. I am Carnforth based, so not too far away. I too have done the Kirkstone on a variety of bikes, but the best have definitely been my Classic 350 to take in the views, and the Guerrilla for fun at slightly higher speeds. Hopefully you have seen my later Snowdonia vids on the Guerrilla, as the terrain is quite similar…..with the one coming out on Monday, highlighting the fun factor. Many thanks, and all the best 🎄🎅

Morning Ian, lovely video. In the end I’ve gone for the Speed 400 instead of the Guerilla. The only reason for that was that my nearest Royal Enfield dealer is 300 miles away in Glasgow and the Triumph only 150 in Aberdeen! One of the few disadvantages of living in the Outer Hebrides!

Sunning scenery Ian. and weather being kind to you. Worth checking out. Ride safe. Until the next time. Bfn Mike. Sunny Wales

Afternoon Mike. Weather miserable and wet here today. I am looking for a set of genuine RE touring mirrors, to save me having to remove them every time we load Scorpio into the van. I think, with the aid of an Allen key, I will be able to fold them down. Apart from that, I fancy the shroud which covers the void between the headlight and speedo. I have a Speedo Angels TFT anti Glare screen protector which needs fitting. When/if someone comes up with a tail tidy, I would like one of those. The brake and clutch might be similar to the Himi 450, but I can’t see any adjustable levers for those yet either. That’ll do for now 😂

Coming back down towards the lake reminds me of when i stopped in one of those little lay-bys so i could get a picture of the lake. It was a roasting hot day, i put the side stand down but forgot to leave it in 1st. The tarmac had softened and the bike toppled over pinning me against the grass copse. Cars stopped because they thought I'd crashed but all i needed was someone to get the bike off me. Very embarrassing and i always now make sure i leave it parked in 1st gear.

Nice video. Thanks! How is that motor riding @ 2,000-2,500 rpm, which is my preferred style of riding.
@ianhughesroyalenfield3 ай бұрын
Hmm, it rides ok at low revs, but you also need to be in a low gear. It has a very revvy nature, so not ideal for plodding around in my opinion. Maybe one of the 350’s would suit you better. They are happiest at lower revs, in higher gears. Hope this helps.
