Good to see you back with well presented diy tips. I had a problem with the side stand being too long, so i got my local mechanic to take an inch off it and re weld, now just right.
@leuheanrede3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha thanks mate and you wont believe i too am currently working on side stand shortening . have cut only 7 mm, i think i could have gone for 10 mm, but thus for things are looking ok, vid on that will be up shortly ;) Cheers

My drum had only 2rubbers, was it manufacturing error or they gave only 2?

A very happy new year to you too mate :D, long time, yes after the ride I just kinda promised that I wont start DIY until i finish all the ride vids, but that didnt happen ;) so finally started working on the bike. And more DIYs will be on the way, i guess the last of the ride vids will be done later, but bike has to be sorted before I start planning another ride :) cheers

From where do you source your parts @leuheanrede ?My dealer is stingy with parts.
@leuheanrede3 жыл бұрын
Oh, trust me, mine is super stingy too. I just bug them every now and then. I think some parts are genuinely taking longer to reach them, but they get them eventually

Hello sir just have a quick question . Can I put continental 650 chain sprocket kit on Himalayan ?

Thank you for another interesting video. Another way to cheat is to tape around the 3 paddles that slot into the rubbers. You can take up the slack fine if you need to wait for replacement parts. I see you have lost an R-clip on your back brake in too! God bless.
@leuheanrede3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. Indeed that would do it too depending on the thickness of the tape, cheers :)

Hey brother, when I checked, i found that there was a side to side movement of the sprocket. What could be the cause? Cush rubbers or bearings?
@leuheanrede3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. Yes in all probability its cush rubber if there is free play when rotating sprocket hub clock wise and anti clockwise, while holding wheel stationary. For bearing check we need to push wheel towards us and check for free play and clicking noise
@greasemonkey17443 жыл бұрын
@@leuheanrede Thank you so much for taking time and replying. I have checked by rocking the tyre. No sound, no movement. The movement is only sideways. Same as we rock tyre back and forth. The sprocket does have a little play. Clocked 14kms. Maybe need inspection. :)
@greasemonkey17443 жыл бұрын
@@leuheanrede Thank you. I have checked the cush rubbers. It needed replacement. The rubbers were worn from between. Couldn't source one so i have used rubber cut outs from tyres tubes. Now the sprocket is tight and feel so good riding the bike. No jerking even in slow speeds. :) Thanks again
@leuheanrede3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. Perfect, yes those rubber cutout can actually hold for a long time. But ya do source and store the stock cush rubbers. Have a good one 👍

Totally off topic but do you find the kick stand too straight on the bike? Like it’s very easy to tip the bike on side stand especially with luggage? Please suggest some jugaad for this problem 😂 Thanks in advance.
