Good to see someone keeping a bike long enough to warrant a service. If KZbin is any guide, riders keep their bikes 2000 miles and swap it for a new one.

@@borderlands6606 😆 PCP’s might also have something to do with that..Mind you, a mate of mine has recently sold his Moto Guzzi he bought 40 or more years ago..This is a little irrelevant but was chatting to a deliveroo Honda PCX 125 scooter rider today.. Had 47k on the clock and told me they’ll run into the 80’s !! That’s nuts…Only concession was he changed the oil every 1000 miles which makes sense.. 😄👍

@@DickieMintCycles Amazing. Those little Hondas run forever. Hadn't thought of the PCP thing, perhaps people don't want to touch their bikes anymore.

I'm glad to see the bearings are in a decent condition, I went through a 24 year old Suzuki bandit, I had to replace all the bearings and sleeves, apart from the swingarm pivot bearings. Definitely due to the lack of maintenance. Take care

@@adaml52 Hi Adam.. If your unlucky some Himi bearings can be shot within a couple of years..Depends whether the Indian chap on the assembly line can be bothered to put the proper amount of grease in them if any … Have been reports… Seriously 😆

A very informative video Dickie. My next job on my Himalayan. I must invest in one of those small scissor lifts.

@@jeremyhooper1309 It can seem a bit daunting when you first think of it Jeremy…But it’s a pretty straight forward procedure at the end of the day..The beauty of owning the 411..👍

Lovely job Dickie, I shall use that waterproof grease next time I do mine. Funny how that bolt on your bike fouled the centre stand, it didn't do it on mine. Just got back from a lovely Himalayan bimble, the old 411 is running sweet now, better for low speed back roads and off road than the 452 I would say but the 452 is a better bike for the faster roads.

@@WiltshireMan Hi Sandy…Strange one regarding the bolt…We’ll have to check that one out…I prefer my BS4 over the Sherpa model .. Definitely..👍
