Great review , I’ve owned my Hunter a little over 2 months and covered 600 mile , city commute and country riding here in the Peak District I’ve been riding over 40 years and for a bike of it’s size it is very comfortable and so easy to ride , looks and sounds great and brilliant on fuel , made me smile a lot so far , well done Royal Enfield 👍👍

A very good and comprehensive review, covering varied road situations. I bought my new Hunter 350 on 7 October and am gingerly running it in ready for better days in late winter. Only 100 miles on the clock as of Nov 26! I am 74, nearly 75, have had 16 bikes previously. A long 18mth break since my 2004 T100, with a serious illness in 2022 and I find myself a wee bit nervous on the Hunter so I have enlisted on a refresher course in January.

Great post, The only thing stopping me from getting one at the moment would be it's touring capability due to it's low power, my Honda Forza 350 scooter, is my commuter and it is also used for touring, great storage and weather protection. reason being after 44 years of biking my needs are light weight, ease of use and comfort, the HUNTR looks great.....

Great review!! I've had mine, in Rebel Red, for nearly a month now and really enjoying it. I'm being kind to it as it's not fully run in yet (300 miles to go to the 1240 mile mark) and I'm impressed with the fuel economy ...... checked it today after fueling up ........ 109mpg!!!! As you say, if you use both brakes, together, it pulls up just fine ....... I've had no issues and I'm gobbsmacked at how good the suspension is for the price. Strangely, I test rode the Classic 350 as there were no Hunter demos available near me and loved that bike too ...... especially the looks. Cheers, Phil

Nice bit of history Dave, I never knew about the “ Big Bang man”. If you filter in Bradford you take your life in your hands regardless of bike size. It looks like RE are targeting the youth market and good luck to them, we need more young people on bikes. Looks like you had a cracking day for the test ride.

An excellent, and very sensible, review of an excellent, and sensible, bike ! I think an Enfield 350 may be my next, and final, bike. The only thing stopping me is the distance to my nearest dealer, 150 miles ! I wish that in remote places such as mine RE would allow the local bike shop to be an authorised service agent. Finally, I wish RE would start importing Ceat tyres as they appear to be perfectly good tyres at a fraction of the overpriced brands we have at present.

Just got the bike. I would say the handlebars are far too forward. It is tolerable, but not comfortable. I think I will try to find angled bar risers to help it. But other than that, it is really good. You can stand on the pegs, it is just light enough to feel in control, the throttle is SMOOOTH compared to 98% of bikes out there. You can ride with just the throttle many intersections and slow crawl parking areas, which you couldn't do in a lot of bikes. For example MT-07 requires constant clutchwork, and has a jerky throttle compared.

Although the Hunter 350 is marketed at young people it works equally well for those of us at the other end of the spectrum. I’m well past retirement age and of slight build and the HNTR is just great in every way for me. I had a Classic 350 last year and couldn’t get on with it at all, far too unwieldy. Nice review by the way, I wonder if the dealer is supplying an owners manual with the bike, I’ve been waiting 2 months for mine 😂

Great Review, thanks!! I will be looking for a test ride when it comes to this side of the pond...Good to hear about the throttling. I absolutely detest a "snatchy" throttle. BTW my ST1300 had the worst throttle in the universe. 4500-5000 rpm, Twist, nothing nothing BANG and your off. Really unnerving on a down hill hair pin turn...At my age I was contemplating a scooter but no.. I'm a motorcyclist I like bikes and this looks to fit the bill. A Small light classic looking motorcycle. A real clutch and gear shifter for me..

Don’t know why the Hunter is the least appealing of the three 350ties to me… Maybe it is this very agile setup which makes me want to squeeze it out in the twisties, this very torquey engine is not reving fast enough and has a bit to less power to pull you out of the corners. It’s a great bike, but with this engine I prefer the Classic for a more round style of driving or the Meteor for touring longer distances or twoup riding….

I agree with you on that point. For a bike with quicker steering and lighter etc, in the twisties I would want it to be fun and more invigorating rather than mellow. I have a classic 350 and this relaxed, chilled j engine suits the bike and its handling in my opinion.

Nice bike and seeing as how you are a fan of Royal Enfield, bikes how would you rate it against the Scram. Would it not be worth the extra amount of cash for the bigger bike, the comfort and less taxing (on the engine) when cruising at say 60-65.mph. I honestly don`t believe that a sustained 70mph. is feasable for the longevity of the engine

The bikes are electronically limited to 114 Km/h - the engine would pull like the Honda 350 highness up to 130 km/h (if you could get the restriction out) - so driving it at topspeed all day long wouldn’t harm the engine…

Great review of the HNTR 350 (which I'm possibly getting soon). As someone else mentioned, Sir Fred Hoyle coined the term 'Big Bang' but opposed the theory and took a lot of flak for doing so. Now the Big Bang Theory is looking pretty shaky, so Fred was probably right after all!

This bike is almost the same price as my 125 Honda scooter. Shame that petrol bikes will be banned from sale after 2035.

@lowesaxon another typical piece of nonsense from someone who hasn’t even watched the video….the walk around and specs are all there….only a fool starts to pen critical comments without checking the facts first! 😂

Great bike , but DOES NOT cruise at 70 . 55 is your cruising speed 60 tops . At 70 you are bullying it and you won't get longevity 👍
