Great to see that you are now back to looking at further upgrades to your Interceptor. I have missed your interceptor content. Along with Uncle Stu, you were instrumental in my decision to purchase an Interceptor. I already had a shopping list made up and I had purchased some upgrades before I had even collected the bike. Most of the parts that I have purchased were as a result of your reviews, so thanks for that. I am looking forward to seeing the installation videos that you are going to produce as you fit your latest tranche of upgrades / enhancements.

I recently followed your example and installed the Brembo 15RCS, holding off for a long time because the look of the stock master cylinder obviously matches the bike better. The difference is night and day. Next to the 865 kit it’s the single best performance upgrade I’ve done. I can actually trail brake now. Really looking forward to seeing the new paint job.

In my humble opinion, WM, the shape of the tank is one of the most gorgeous things about the interceptor.
@WildlifeMoto10 ай бұрын
I agree. The shape will stay the same.

Thanks for the update! Having changed the tyres and lightened the exhaust system, the breaking is the most obvious, weak point I’ve noticed when riding flat out on curvy roads.

Glad to see you are still covering upgrades for this bike. Most of my mods have been motivated by a desire for lower weight, I would not know what to do with more power so I'm happy to leave the engine as delivered. What I'd like now is an aluminium fuel tank but so far I have been unable to find anybody selling those for the GT version (or even the Interceptor). Perhaps one day you will do that mod on your Interceptor and give a lead on where I can get an Al tank. Best regards.
@WildlifeMoto10 ай бұрын
That would be cool. You’d probably need to find a good fabricator to make one for you, could get expensive, but would be very cool.

I'd love more information on all the sizes of the bolts you got. I've looked at ProBolt too but I just haven't had the time to go around trying to measure all the bolt sizes I'd need for the upgrades. Looking forward to more info in a future video perhaps.

Yes I’ll get some info together on the main sizes. Cheers.

Brilliant to see you back with some new mods very much looking forward to watching the videos especially the one painting your tank(I also agree that ravishing red is the best one such a shame RE don’t do it any more?)I also can’t believe it’s been 4yrs since you got the bike! I do recall the sad video you put out about the stolen bike,out of curiosity did anything come of it?

One question since we both have the same master cyclinder set up, how long is the new brake line from the ABS unit to the Master cylinder ? Right now has to go undergas tank to attach to Master I figure it's about 3 inchs longer and I think the connector to the master has to be different than the stock (not pointing down)@@WildlifeMoto

look for: Brad Pitt's Custom BMW Bobber Awesome R100 with upside down fork and these new style brake calipers using the old original rims, the master front brake pump is hidden somewhere under the gas tank and operated via cable, the handle bars are totally slick and clean. a almost hidden digital dash.

That all sounds great WM and will look forward to seeing the up grades come through. I did message you about the YSS Fork upgrade - is there a video for that out or is this one to come?👍
@WildlifeMoto10 ай бұрын
Hi Richard. I didn’t do a specific video on the front forks. I’ll make something when I do the oil change. It’s a fairly easy upgrade as long as you have a way of securing the bike while you take the legs off.

Wow WM, winter in the UK gets you surfing & shopping a lot more than in summer when you’re out there riding! You’re a busy man! Would it be cheaper & easier to just buy a new tank with another colour scheme & keep the original as a spare? Or, get a tank in white & paint/wrap your own design? Every other panel is a complete departure from the original anyways? Your RE Interceptor looks fantastic as is & will look more so unique!

Cheers Steve. Yes I didn’t think about a second tank. They are pretty cheap.

Aluminum chain sprocket? I wanna use stainless bolts on the cover of the Hallsensor / alternator belt on the R1100. is that a problem?

Hi, I have an Interceptor also, that I have heavily modified. It is very similar to yours and I will watch with interest in how these mods go as I was thinking of doing something similar. One other thing I was thinking of doing was replacing the spark plugs, spark plug caps and HT leads with NGK caps, Iridium plugs and braided HT leads. What do you think? Also any chance you can make a shopping list of the bolts you replace and post them so I can copy. Thanks. (PS: happy to share photos of my bike with you)

Thank you. I’ll certainly take a look at the plugs when I get to it. Not sure if it’s worth changing the leads at this point.

Whats the size of the new BT46? 150 on the rear?
@WildlifeMoto10 ай бұрын
Personally I’ll go as close to stock as possible. I know some people put fatter tyres on the rear for looks, but I like skinny tyres on slower bikes. More fun.
@stewy6210 ай бұрын
You said your tyres are four years old but being nosey what mileage have they done ? - not that mileage is everything since everybody rides differently and in different conditions. Still it’s interesting to know what mileage people are getting out of their tyres 🇬🇧

Hi. Around 4k miles on these. They are still in ok condition but I tend to change them after 4/5 years regardless of mileage.
