I suggest you to do MIG welding in place of this welding because MIG heats lesser than this. And because of this heat iron get tempered and hard. Tempered teeth could sudden break. This will not happen in case of MIG welding. And second thing do nurling on both pices ,or you can do male female teeth like clutch plates. That would be much better. This is a suggestion take it positively....

It's a CI to MS weld and there are specific welding electrodes for this purpose, which I think they have used. MIG welding in this situation is the costliest option available and doesn't offer any benefit over stick welding.

It’s always recommended to,preheat cast iron before welding so that rate of cooling could be made slower and thus cracking ofmpart can be avoided as cast iron has brittle properties

This isn't a matter of an Enfield being a cruiser. On the contrary, the Harley Davidson along with many early cruiser designs had v-twin engines in part because (as with multicylinder engines in general) one cylinders motion countered the other. I haven't seen many Harleys or Indians swerving along multi-lane interstate highways.

It is good for slow drivers covering distances up to 200 kms but does not seem to be ok for jurk users and long distances uses like Delhi to Goa - Bangaluru etc as cast iron and steel parts are of very different metal characteristics and may not withstand the laden weight. Hi but when you weld sprocket it Case hardning will go of sprocket Teeth will become soft and will bend towards chain moves.. You should use some other process to hold so you can change another sprocket drum remains same. Screw threading is good in sprocket. You should start production of this drum and sprocket. will sale more. People need this first time complete kit and than only sproket set and chain .

Arc welding bohut zada temp pa hote ha aur sirf welding area he zada heat hota ha aur ekdam sa thanda be ho jata ha es ca cast iron ma cracks a sakte ha worst case scenario welding vale jagha sa welding samet cast iron tut sakta ha specially cast iron welding rods ka sat kuke vo normal rods sa zada current pa chalte ha eska solution bhe same ha cast iron ko welding sa pahle evenly heat karle kuke jaha Tak muja lagta ha wall baut patle ha brake drum ke es process sa life double ho jaege . Hello brother. I use to watch your videos a lot. Your videos help in troubleshooting small things. Which is very important. Brother I have classic 350. Which I bought in year 2015.Since then it is not working very well. I have some issues can you make a video on them. These issues are:- 1) My bike rear wheel vowels slightly. Chain sprocket also vowel slightly. I tried everything but didn’t work anything. Because of this my break show metal couches inside metal of drum. 2) My rear wheel does not show smooth rotation. Makes a tick tick noise. 3) Alignment of the bike is also out. My bike drags toward right side. 4) Can we upgrade out old classic 350 near close to new one.
