I booked Honda CB350 after watching all of your related videos but after looking at this bike i put the booking on hold and haven't taken the delivery yet. I am having serious second thoughts from at least 15days now and i think i am going to buy the Meteor 350 now after watching this video. Ah, takes me back to when I was pushing my classic to its limits on the NICE road and it felt like I am riding it to death's door itself... Slowed down and kept it to a tingly 80-90 thereafter. A similar Engine around 500 CC to replace the good old UCE 500 would be amazing. I believe the current Himalayan should have been that and not the 400 odd CC that it is currently.

After touring on big bore bikes I realised that it doesn't matter. The advantage of these bikes is their fuel economy, so less number of fuel stops.some times it take up to 15 minute to refuel. Other advantage increase ease of maintainance. Tyres last longer compared to higher speed rated tyres and cost lesser. Riding @ 90 to 100 km/hrs is fast enough to cover good distance in a day for touring, add to it the comfort and we have a win win situation. they do not grab crowd an the usual questions. (Kitna Paisa laga ? Milege kitna hai, konsi company ki hai etc etc)😓Time to return to basics I guess. Great video. Thank you so much👍

Am told 80 kmph is the maximum legal highway limits for a two wheeler in my state & hence I think 350 cc is more than adequate and sensible to own

The level of refinement of the new 350cc engine can be seen in the rear view mirrors itself...!!! At 100+ km/hr the mirrors aren’t even vibrating! I was clearly able to see the Triumph at the back and the other vehicles as well...!!! My 650 does it but not the Himalayan though. It has that slight vibration above 90 km/hr. This Meteor is the best by far from RE 350cc lineups.

So... I got it on 3rd Jan and did a 650 KM tour on week end... Let me share what did I got... Pros... 1. Its real smooth and fun to ride.. from any standard (not only the RE) it is refined engine and responds very quickly. 2. Gearing is smooth and power distribution is adequate. (I climbed a hill in 5th gear with 60 KM of speed) 3. Since gearing is tall, so you need not to sift gears here and there. 4. It provides ample power so that you can over take a speeding truck (70 KM/H) in 5th gear. 5. Seat is comfortable for both, rider and pillion (though a couple of inches in lenth could have been better) 6. Its super easy in corners ( a moderator rider like me can take a turn at over 60 km) 7. Breaks are good for this kind of bike and do their job just fine. Con. 1. Quality of rotatory switches. They look like a patch on such a premium looking bike. 2. Missing a kick start (RE without a kick is like, Bahubali without sword, still effective, but looks better with that. 3. Rear suspension is hard, need to be down tuned. 4. With EFI, when you need to keep around 3 ltrs of fuel always, usable fuel is jus 12 ltrs, it should have got 20 Ltr tank. Over all its a gem of bike at this price. Just hope it keeps up with the promises I has made.... Thanks @Abhinav .. your reviews helped me to decide, and now I am a happy owner.

Rode meteor today although for a short while... doesn't look long and wide in real than in pocs..and I think CB350 is much better in terms of build quality, smoothness, performance, city riding, posture...it is really good. In pics and videos meteor looks bigger but infact it is CB350 which is bigger and looks bigger when you see it in real. Test both bikes and you will feel the difference. The only real advantages for meteor is it is kind of cruiser bike if you are looking for cruiser in this category (not a fan of cruiser) and ofcourse the availability...it is easily available than CB350 But trust me when you see and ride CB350....you are more likely to rise and admire it more...so ride both before buying any. I already have CB350 and I am really enjoying it..

You can use small dead cat's (it's a fluffy fabric) that will cancel out the wind noise to a level

3 years of ownership. The engine is very refined with no vibration and adequate power, although more power is always welcomed. No engine oil leaks at all . Rear Suspension doesn't exist, it's there just for aesthetics. For maintenance it costs about the same as my Activa (yearly maintenance all together) mileage is about what you would expect from such a bike which is close to 35 kmpl to 40 kmpl on highways. Overall, it's a good bike but the rear suspension needs some serious attention.

Hi Abhinav. I'm feeling really conflicted between the Meteor and the Hiness. It's going to be my first bike, I've test ridden both. The heart says Meteor because it just felt so comfortable and connected. While the head says Hiness because Honda offers unlimited kilometres under their six year warranty, and the bike simply looks and feels made to a better quality than any Enfield. My only concern about the meteor is the long term reliability. I don't want to keep visiting service centres with non-chalant staff. It won't just drain my time and money, but give emotional setbacks, too. Which of the two should I buy? Or should I just wait for the next best thing? I love biking, though. Have been a part of the top league in National Mountain biking. Having had enough injuries, I want a motorbike now - cool, calm, composed and smiles: that's the Meteor, initially. But not sure about RE's long term quality.
