Onwards and upwards Willie. Looking forward to the next chapter 👍. Best of luck with the move. Now, my Classic 350 gets more nods from other bikers than any other I've known. And there's no mistaking it as they pass because of the little Tiger Eyes. A few I've met and talked to consider it irrelevant but they are really in the minority. It's definitely a bike that you have to understand and I'll bet every single one of those who were negative have never ridden a Classic 350. Went to work on Ernie this morning. Obviously, I took the long way 😊.

I totally understand the getting bored of bikes thing. I do have a Halycon Grey Classic 350 and I think i would struggle to sell it. There’s just something about it, even though on paper the specs seem pretty unassuming. I’ve owned ‘more exciting’ bikes but that little single is so good and comfortable.

Back in the eighties I took my BSA 650 Road Rocket back to its last nut and bolt and did it all up. I then fell in love with the looks of a Ducati 450 desmo with a bikini fairing, that a mate of mine owned and did a swop. What a mistake, the Ducati was a disaster in almost every way and everyday i curse myself for letting the BSA go.

That Halcyon Grey 350Classic is a looker,one of the best colours.I remember you video on cornering on the Nikken when you were 3 Wheeled Willie.I see the odd Nikken around in NZ 🇳🇿 old bikers with bad legs or similar love it keeps them on a bike & alot cheaper than a trike.

Regarding regrets, when I was on my apprenticeship in the mid 80s as a natural stone & lead layer, I was working on a very old cottage & got to know the old boy who owned it, In his kitchen, he had old photos of him in North africa in 1941 to 43 on a MATCHLESS G3L 350cc as a dispatch driver. It turned out he loved this bike so much that he somehow had this bike transported back to the UK as part of his prep for the invasion in 44. He kept this bike after the war with all its patina & desert camo & he showed me it in his garage & offered to sell it to me for less than a £100 but at the time I was only on £24 pounds a week plus I was into the whole Mod scene & was saving up for a vespa so I politely declined 🫣🤦‍♂️ Arrrrrr

It was a beast of a thing but I loved it, however there is the chance of picking up an old one and restoring it at some point. Look forward to seeing you settled in mate. I regret selling my last XS650 (owned 4 of them). It had been meticulously restored and fitted with high-quality modifications. It was ridiculously uncomfortable to ride any distance but it looked so good. Biggest issue was that I rode it like a maniac, everywhere! Completely opposite to how I normally ride. So I sold it.

Well sir your second vid i commented on your channel id just bought a 1050xt and you had the grey one ...i did 8000 mies on that near perfect bike 4 bikes later when i did a dealer swop....and would you believe its still in that showroom today 2yrs later....🤔is it sitting there waiting for me to buy back😂😂😂 as age catching me up 1050 a tad heavy so ill stay with my vstrom 650.....best wishes for move...ps I to suffer for buying..... 67bikes in a lot of years...atb

Me and my first Mrs actually slept a night in that one time, when it broke down somewhere! God, we were so skinny back in the 60's....😢 If only I'd hung onto that for the past 50 years and about 40 house moves. It would probably be worth about a grand now!
