BRM was at the launch of Royal Enfield's latest incarnation of their 650 Twin range, with the new Shotgun 650 a more aggressive take on the Super Meteor 650.
With mid-mount controls, a sportier steering geometry and a bobber style rear-end, the launch destination of the canyons around Los Angeles was the perfect spot to test the performance of the new machine.
Any reviews and verdicts of the bike are embargoed until early 2024, so until then, sit back and enjoy a few minutes of onboard from our ride where you'll see the sportier nature of the new machine.

Im from the US and have the RE super meteor 650. We are limited in supply here but i wonder if they will be available in the US market soon. I want to do a trade in, in about a year or so

How is the motorcycle? Have you encountered any problems??? Like 1. Oil consumption 2. Break pad wear 3. Chain stretch with no adjustment possible so a a full chain sprocket replace ment.

@leonidjoseph5483 I'm only at 485 miles so far. Just did an oil change. It was dark brown. So it needed to be done. And should be done regardless when breaking it in. As for consumption, it wasn't low. Break fluids aren't low either. The chain slack was measured at 30mm which is the max allowance per the manual. It's between 20-30mm. I barely adjusted it to keep it in between at 25mm. Cable for the clutch didn't need much adjusting. I did measure it at 15mm. Manual says 9-12mm. So I adjusted it to 10. Throttle was fine. Didn't need adjusting. It's set at 3mm. I will be checking the valve and spark plug gaps when I get a chance. But engine sounds fine so I'm sure it's set at 0.7-0.8mm.

@leonidjoseph5483 sprockets are fine man. They shouldn't be going out on you that quick unless they were put on wrong. It's an Indian bike but with US market in mind. The entire bike, and I do mean entire bike besides the headlamp housing and gauges, is all metal. It isn't Chinese crap.

I want to like it, but the colors are terrible and I don’t like the cast wheels. I’d rather have spoked. Also it needs to sound more throaty.

Come on man!! Don't be so negative about the roads in India. They are not bad everywhere. In fact our highways have got better then European countries.

@@harshrajsingh_HRS bro stop. Yes our roads are better than before but nowhere close to European countries. There are just too many great countries in Europe for you to say our roads are better than them. We'll see what happens in the future but for now it's not good

@@adityan3208 first understand what I said I said that our highways not all roads. And I would say that go to Europe and go on a road trip across Europe atleast 5schengen countries then go on a road trip in India on our highways. You will observe something. Then you would agree with me. Don't be so pessimistic about your own nation. I do agree that roads in cities are not great . But they are fine in tier 1 and tier 2 cities.

@@corradospagnuolo614 Do agree with that . But these things have also decreased in recent years. And wait till 2047 the year we become a developed nation. Europe will learn from us .
