Here's another fun fact: if you open fire on Reznov in any mission besides Vorkuta, you won't get a game over. You can even knife him at really close range - you can't do this when you're close to and directly in front of other friendlies.

You need to take it waaaay more slowly during the Gas part. The first time I played the mission, I moved at an extraordinarily slow pace to avoid getting shot and I even survived the whole gas section without dying once because of that.

Oh jeez this ain't the first time over back at the Khe Sanh mission he missed the opportunity on getting an AK-47 with a flamethrower attachment as well. He missed the dialogue of woods when approaching the uphill battle. There was a bunch of AKs in a ditch with the flamethrower attachments like C'mon.

I feel bad for Reznov. He sacrificed his life for the motherland. He lost his parents, brothers/sisters, his friends in the army, he watched his best friend Dimitri died slowly in front of him only to be betrayed by his own people and his government. Instead of being a hero of Russia and get a good life for what he did, he and other WW2 veterans are ended up in Vorkuta Gulag, treated like animals. It's very sad if it existed in real life

damn that reveal where it was all in Mason's Fucked up mind gets me everytime. mainly from Hudson's by the books approach "I didn't believe it till I saw it with my own eyes" I do agree with you where this game nails everything right. the gameplay and story is a Masterpiece. I hope Black Ops Cold War is as good if not better, cant wait to catch the final part(s)

You can notice in most missions, if reznov says anything, they all look at mason. On one mission before this, reznov says “kravcheno must be killed” then bowman says “say again?” And mason says “kravchenko must die”

I love how as soon as you get into rebirth, mason is so far gone, his part of the mission is brtually killing not just soldiers, but scientists and workers with no remorse or seemingly any reaction as horror movie stingers play over the second kill for instance.

I do love the plot twist, like when I was playing this my first time I didnt understand which I guess makes sense because like a lot of the situations Idk how he would proceed by himself. Like opening heavy doors u see Reznoc helping him even tho he is not there. I dont really understand how he would do the missions alone

Your mind can play some crazy tricks on you. My theory is what I like to call "the little engine that couldn't"- he thinks he can't do it by himself, not to mention the brainwashing and seriously traumatic stuff happening to him almost constantly, so his brain latches onto someone who mentally stabilizes him and give him hope, especially for his toughest moments (almost drowning, finally finding the cargo plane just to find that they're trying to frame America, etc). His brain tells him that reznov is helping him with doors because maybe his subconscious thinks that will make it that much more believable. That's my theory anyway.

You can cook the grenades. If you hold the button for a sec or two it will prep the nade for when you throw it so theres isnt a delay in the explosion. You can be much more accurate and even use it as air burst once you learn the timing.

The second part of rebirth island is the hardest mission of this game. Cause the hazmat suites “health” never regens. So you can just be in a death loop when the hinds arrive. This is why we recommended you to play on REGULAR!

Black ops 1-2 will always be my favorite continued stories (Yes we don't speak about 3 even though it's a good game they just hide important detail to the story in hard to find places and it's super futuristic) but, also Infinite Warfare as much crap as that game gets I love the story to bits because pathetically it's the only call of duty to actually make me cry from it's story and character

The Plot Twist that Reznov was dead the entire time is predictable the reactions from your comrades when you talk to Reznov made it to obvious. The fact Woods and Bowman and your other comrades didn't react to Reznov made it way to obvious that Reznov was a hallucination in Mason's mind.

Nah, there are plenty of COD missions where you don't follow NPCs like Going Dark, Takedown, Cliffhanger, Sins of our fathers, if anything, most are like Halo where NPCs are there to support you, not lead.

That’s how it was, the 3 villains programmed Mason to be one of the sleeper agents like how Hudson said they were all over America ready to attack, the 3 wanted Mason to be one of them and while the programming was happening Reznov entered the room and reworked the program so yes you are correct he was stuck in his head after that

I'm impressed, that you picked up on the fact that Reznov was never really there. Course, if you pay attention...you notice little clues along the way, that give it away. For instance, every time you see Reznov...you hear the numbers counting Mason's head. Or, how none of your squad seem to react to him. And, the biggest clue...is when you're in the Rat Tunnels, and you talk directly to Reznov...and your squad mate turns and looks at you...with a weird look on his face, and says "what the fuck is wrong with you" like you were just in the dark talking to yourself. Masterful method of story telling..especially for a Call Of Duty campaign.
