I have little theory about his birth and purpose. He was prophesied and son of evil God, so why did he was even born? Even if he doesn't have power to overthrow his father, he is still force of good, why give him to humanity? I don't believe he didn't know. Outside of some complicated evil plan theory, I think he needed to create him. His purpose is simply being born. SK is force of pure evil, demonic God etc., but being evil doesn't exclude positive and good in person. If someone steal from you or attack your territory and you aggressively respond, it shows you care for it at least little. If you are selfish and cares only for yourself, it still mean you love something, even if it's self love. If you enjoy torturing people and doing evil things, it still mean, you like and enjoy something. Being capable of feeling it, means being capable of cultivating it. Maybe he start like music he heard, when he was burning town down. Maybe he feel little bit of awe at beauty of stars, when he saw them from ruins of planet he broken in half. But does this kind of feelings belong to SK?! They can make him weaker, maybe. Maybe he thinks of them as weakness. Maybe he simply doesn't want to change, even this natural way. So what he will do? Place them somewhere else, into right vessel, his child. What about other children? Maybe they are other aspects he doesn't want, because he doesn't want to change or something (he can't hate one group more that other etc. or simply doesn't want feel disgusted). Maybe he is so evil, he can take part of himself without taking other pieces, so other 6 children are just scraps. That would explain prophecy, it could be based on things that already happened before. That creates question, what happened with previous good child? It could be somewhere out there, it could be killed or trapped (I can imagine someone crazy enough to trap himself with previous 999 forever in statue or something) or it could become new entity, like some benevolent God or something. Who knows. This theory basically doesn't change anything about SCP-999, just explain background and motivations behind his birth.

One of the things about SCP that none of the channels you have watched ever mention is that there is no single canon. There are many different canon, some of which are very different to others. as far as I know 999 is not a child of the scarlet king according to the article itself. I'm pretty sure that that bit is from a separate tale. Tales are stories about SCPs on the wiki which are in a much less formal format.

10:29 So to explain what happend there: No, SCP-682 has no psychic abilities, HOWEVER it is able to absorb the powers that are used against it. For example, when you use a flamethrower on it, 682 will probably spit fire out of it's mouth. When you use lasers against it, it will armor itself with a reflective surface, reflecting the lasers back. 682 basically absorbed 999's happiness ability and used it as a shockwave. Everyone who was in the radius fell down and started laughing uncontrollably, rendering them incapacitated, giving 682 time to breach containment and kill everyone in it's path. Those absorbed abilities don't last forever though, as they dwindle and nullify after time. 682 is pretty OP.

While these are more visually entertaining, I highly recommend watching SCP videos when possible via SCP Illustrated. They have hand drawn art of SCP scenes and they directly read and voice act containment logs and such. You'll learn a lot more via SCP Illustrated, and it fits a far more creepy attitude. I for one love the idea 999 was the final child of the Scarlet King, but I mix that with a short story called "Fear Alone," which talks about how they are "containing" The Scarlet King through the power of belief.

The SCP Foundation tried literally everything to terminate SCP 682 and none of them worked, in one of the timelines they launched SCP 682 to the sun, resulting in SCP 682 becoming a literal planet and it devoured other planets. Another which The SCP Foundation asked a SCP genie to kill SCP 682 without having to destroy the world, and the genie couldn't grant the request because it would the entire multiverse (or the universe I can't remember which) to obliterate SCP 682 out of existence. No attempt succeeded in killing SCP 682 which shows how incredibly strong he is. There's a reason why they call him "The Indestructible Lizard" or "The Hard-To-Destroy Lizard".

SCP-682 to cannot die and evolves ways to adapt so it can not be hurt that way again for example , they put it in a room with the statue that kills you if you don’t look at it. It took so long to blink the guards shot it eyes out. The statue had destroyed a large portion of 682 before 682 grew multiple different eyes along its body and when the guards tried to shoot them out again the eyes were covered in a bullet proof layer over the eye
