Morning Pete, yes we have a bit of sun at long last, I've been to that lake, it's stunning, I hope you were ringing Sarah to tell her dinner was ready 😅, fair play to her, she's a lot more adventurous than me, if it ain't got an engine, it don't move 😂, enjoy the rest of your trip, ...... Colin 😊

I`ve got tired off the "stalling" on mine 411 and mounted a corburettor. And then problem was fixed 🙂 Delivered from Hitchcocks. I got poorer and they got richer. An expensive part so to say..

Hi, yes not a cheap part, but nothing wrong with it using a good old carb, luckily I've not had that problem, but there's no saying I won't, I'm glad it worked for you, hopefully now you'll have moles of happy riding........ Colin 😊

Hi Jeff, if very strange how some bikes suffer with this problem, luckily ours don't, very frustrating if you cop for one of the bikes that do ........ Colin ☺️

Hi Colin, binged watched your recent videos this morning due to loving the RE 411's. I feel RE should have kept it in production & brought the 452 out as the Himalayan Mk2. The 411 will absolutely be a future iconic bike & sought after. Would love to know more about your reasons in moving to France, that part etc etc. The story. Wanting to move myself asap, just considering where to.

Hi, I'm happy you enjoy the videos, I absolutely love the 411, and I totally agree that the production should have been kept going, although rumour has it of a 650 himi coming out and it's based on the original 411, I think the new himi 452 should of had an entirely new name, but who am I to say 😂, but I do think in future years the 411 will be a well sort after bike a bit like the original royal enfield bullet, I had few reasons for leaving the UK and moving to France, I think the fist being I was totally fed up with the UK in all aspects, the second was the children, they have received a much better education here, but above all a far better standard of life and from a family point view life is so calm and laid back, no one cares what you own or do, you don't have to prove yourself to anyone, the third and for me as I'm getting near my sell-by date, is the fantastic french health service that I owe such a lot too, I choose finistere in the bretange, in my opinion its one of the most beautiful regions of France, the costline is fantastic the roads are brilliant for bikes, the food is exceptional and its not a ripp off , its a known fact that we are blessed with more than our fair share of rain, and this year has been awful, although its been a bad year weather wise for many countries, and I fear things will only get worse, I been hear 20 years now and I don't regret a single day of it, I hope I've helped a bit, thanks for watching, take care ..........colin 😀

@@droneon29 Thanks for your reply Colin & your story behind leaving the UK for France. I concur with your reasons. Totally agree regards the 411 👍 I know France quite well having travelled most of it over the years & I do like your area...though I love South of the Alps around Gap & the Jura mountains region on the French/Swiss border. I'm ready to retire & move ASAP... & thinking of where to move to, doing my research. Before Brexit, a European country & possibly France would have been my destination, but it seems not so straight forward these days since coming out of the EU 😞 It's made me look further afield, just not decided as yet. I've two very old dogs, both still healthy & I feel it's only right to see their lives out before my new life venture. Kids are grown up & independent, so no problems there. Have a great evening.

@@keepitreal1547 yes France is a great country and like you I travelled around it many times before I moved here, I was lucky enough to be able to bring my then 8 year old Labrador with me, she loved it here, sadly now gone 😢, Brexit has thrown spanners into many a family's works, what ever you decide I wish the the best of luck, I'm racing toward 68 but love every minute of my life ....... Colin 😊

@@droneon29 Bonjour 😀 I wish I could take mine, but at 12 & 14yrs of age, I think it would be too much for them, too stressful. Yes Brexit really has put spanners in the works for many, especially those who valued/value freedom to travel within Europe without restrictions. I genuinely feel for the younger generations that don't have the freedom, we had for many many years.

@@keepitreal1547 , yes I think at 12 & 14 it would be difficult for them to fit into the education system, my daughter was 8 when we moved here, so it was very easy for her to adjust, my other 3 children were born here, so the french language is their main one with English coming second, your right about the younger generation not having the freedom to travel as we did, although I have a feeling things will change sooner rather than later, ...........colin 😀
