Thank You so much, I find the ending on a lot of these records very clever and just as entertaining as the rest of the record!

You are so right: this is a precious, energetic but smooth mid-20s tune in the style I am fond of! This side was waxed on April 14, 1927. The beautiful vocal is by Frank Munn. The Park Lane Orchestra was led by banjoist Harry Reser. Further band members are unknown. Thank you so much for sharing this delightful performance!

Thank You so much for the info! I had a feeling it was Frank Munn, but with the little info I had - I did not put that down, as I was not sure! Harry Reser is truly wonderful and fun to listen to indeed!

The vocalist sounds a lot like Frank Munn. The orchestra is good and the record is unusually clear.

What do they mean by "Light-Ray Electric Recording"? Sound very good for 1927!

BRUNSWICK entered electrical era in unusual eay, contracting with ATT, Westinghouse and GE, to collaberate instead of compete. GE tecknology gave it name "LIGHT RAY, a reference to an OPTIC MICROPHONE, that woeked by relecting a light ray of a mirrored diaphrame into an photo cell, much as movie soud tracks read. (It was a development of GE sound film develop- ment work.) Like Ribbon microphones of 20 & 30s gave top grade results but fragile and complicated, needing a crewman to tend to it, so never became of wide use. Today rooms for secred discussions have no windows in part because laser beams directed at windows will bick up converßations! The only other form to use it was German Gramophone company. Any way it gave Brunswick its own TradeMark name for Electric process, like Columbias VIVI TONE and Victors ORTHOPHONIC.

And yes, Brunswick records are among the best 20s Electrics as 0key were among the best accoustics. Some think the best, certainly better than 0rthophonoc BOOM BOX BASS or Columbia whining VIVI TONIAL violins, this seems more high fi than those.
