Slaughterhouse really did humble Royce. His music became less about his aspirations and accomplishments. He really grew as an artist in the last decade. I’m glad I witnessed this shit. Ever since layers his music has been much more important. He pretty much said in that song hard that he was seeing his self change.

Do you think Book Of Ryan is more pivotal instead? I may have overlooked or didn't catch something somewhere so don't kill me 😂 honest question.

@@IamSnowMan42000 you’re definitely right. I just think Prhyme came so naturally in this new sober mind of his. He talks about how it came together in pieces cause premier wasn’t tryna do an album. Layers is my personal favorite album, but damn Prhyme saved rap from cornyness. To answer your question; Book of Ryan was his Victory Lap or Black album. I hate making comparisons but idk how else to say it.

4:57 bruh.....I have been asking this and waiting for this collaboration since I was in junior highschool(2001).....and the shit STILL hasn’t happened. Good lord....I wanted this collab so bad I actually thought of a concept for Nas’ Untitled album back in 2007/2008 when hype was being built up for it, where Nas and Em go back and forth about the usage of the word, its double standard between which race uses it, different meanings etc.(sort of like what Nas brought up in “Yall My Niggas”). I’m glad someone finally asked this.

my thing is that the members are so successful that they can't be together all at one time because of their seperate projects, which means success to me. Love that group and I hope they stick together.

They did a song with ludacris and they really don’t mesh well together. It doesn’t sound good at all but nas had the better verse out the 2.

Success, BBC, and Black Republican sounds 🔥with the both of them on the track. If they ducked off for a month, grab Swizz, Premo, Timbo, Salaam, No I.D., Hit-Boy, Large Professor, Kanye, Pharrell, Khaled, and a new producer come through and lace them with their best shit. We need that Jay and Nas album to make history. It would be like Prince and Mike doing an album

Devansh Choudhry Joe was salty that the Slaughterhouse albums sounded like Slim Shady albums with them rapping on it. He had a different idea for the Slaughterhouse sound, as in he wanted them to have their own identity/personality. Not just be another D12. That’s why he constantly salutes Griselda, because they’re signed to Shady but they move like they’re independent. They have they’re own sound, identity, and personality. That’s what Joe wanted for Slaughterhouse.
