Sry for a repost but MZ is out now and the stuff I have created is black on MZ Maker. I can see the animation in effekseer editor but not in the maker. any idea why ?
@Toastyfunnyguy4 жыл бұрын
So I’m probably gonna end up making a vid for this but for now I’ll tell ya in text form. Instead of exporting your finished Effekseer animation you need to go grab the actual project file that you are editing and place that into your RPGMaker MZ project file under effects. You then need to drag every texture you are using in said animation into the texture folder inside that effects folder. Once you have all the textures you need and the EFKEFC project file in your effects folder, open up said project file and change the locations that it is grabbing the textures from in the basic render settings tab. Basically just change it to call in said textures inside of the texture file in RPGMaker mz. Once you’ve done all of that, your animation should appear inside RPGMaker MZ, at least it does for me. Hope that helps!

anyone adept at creating animations using this software and interested in selling their animations as game assets please leave a comment below, RPG Maker MZ is looking to add animations artists to our roster for selling DLC packs on our different platforms (RMW Store, Steam, etc). Thank you:)

How would one make an animation to change menu options (ie. New Game, Continue, Exit) where one blurs into the other? (I forget the type, but where it stays inplace, becomes fuzzy, expanding outward?) So far the only method I can think of is to create the blured images in sheets like MV, create the anims there and import it into MZ. Mainly because I have no clue how to use Effekseer lol
@Toastyfunnyguy4 жыл бұрын
That is something way above my experience level as well XDD I honestly have no clue, though I’m sure someone on the RPGMaker forums would know. Sorry, wish I could help more!

I'm not sure if the answer to the question I'm about to ask is obvious or not but are the animation made in this program able to be used in vx ace?
@Toastyfunnyguy4 жыл бұрын
Lil Neko Gamer (Sorry for the late reply I thought I hit send on a reply earlier but I guess not!). Personally I have never used VX Ace, so I cannot answer for certain, however if it uses sprite sheets for the animation editor than YES you should be able to use Effekseer for it. You might just need to adjust the size of said spritesheet in gimp or photoshop to get it to work in the engine.
@lilnekogamer89324 жыл бұрын
@@Toastyfunnyguy any idea how to resize in gimp without blurriness then? I can't afford photoshop and whenever I resize in gimp without using multiples of the width and size, it turns blurry..
@Toastyfunnyguy4 жыл бұрын
Lil Neko Gamer When you’re scaling layer (or image) in the tab where it says QUALITY, set the INTERPOLATION to NONE. That should completely reduce blurriness, and if it doesn’t, mess around with the other interpolation settings.

I’ll give you the settings I currently have and see if that helps, if not let me know! RESOLUTION: Width: 400 Height: 400 Show Guide: Blank EXPORTED FRAME: Start Frame: 0 End Frame: (change depending on how long your project is) Frequency Frame: 2 FORMAT: Exported Frame: Export as single image X Count: 4 OPTIONS: Make transparent: Generate Alpha Setting save destination: Effekseer Application Using these setting my animation exports as an image without a hitch, the only issue is actually getting it working in RPGMaker MV (or whatever version) XD If you tinker with the width and height setting enough you should be able to get it to work in rm just by exporting from Effekseer, but using my current settings and just opening that image in rm does not work at all XD You may need to do some additional scaling and resizing in Gimp or photoshop to get it fully working inside MV, which is really the main reason why I skipped over it.
@VendonJura4 жыл бұрын
@@Toastyfunnyguy I have changed the Width and Height to 768 and reduced the picture size down to 25% with Paint NET and it seems to look not bad but still it feels alittle bit small. Guess finding the correct size will take ages xD

@marcelwhatever56383 жыл бұрын
Sorry, but your opinion at the beginning, that finding assets instead of making them self because of laziness was the reason for a thumps down... Even though the tutorial is good. It is a little bit arrogant.... I use the rpg maker and the smile game builder for creating educational games. I don´t have the ressource and the time to create even one asset by myself. Beside of that...learning to create a game is so much work... It does not have to be even more.... If the RPG Maker MZ would support sprite effects as well, I would not try to be familiar with effekseer....
