25:37 Event triggers are indeed important; there's been many a time where I entered a map for nothing to happen and I'm left befuddled before checking the event to realize I never set it to Autorun instead of Action Button.

All of this is insanely useful. I do have a question concerning a playtest issue i keep having though. What do you do if whenever u try to play test it only says " Error Unknow type: [ object Object]?

If you've not messed with any of the base scripts, then my guess would be you have a plugin that's throwing an error because of something in it's code. Try to disable your plugins one at a time and playtest after each one to narrow down which it is.

@@runthemc i just wanna thank u first and formost for replying to me. Been alittle difficult finding help about this being new and all at it. Following ur advice it was easy for me to find out what was causing the error. Since i only had about 5 plugins. It seems to be an issue with the ARPG free DLC plugin. But it leaves me with more questions than answers. I read somewhere on the net, that people are having issues getting this to work due to its coding. But ive also reading that people are doing some magician stuff and getting it to work.

Hey thanks for the awesome video! I’m using rpg maker mv on Nintendo switch and I was wondering how to make a gacha mechanic to add characters into the game? The Switch version has no plugins so I could really use some help.

Are you talking about pulling a random character? You can set a variable to a random number, have it only give you the character when a specific number is chosen and say try again or give you currency if it rolls any other number. I may look into doing a Short for this 🤔

ok I’m glad this video got positive comments for you, and I’m glad you care to put on subtitles, but for the love of Jesus, please do not use animated subtitles, some of us CANNOT pay attention with that going on, on top of everything… you’ve got music, you’ve got quick cuts between screens you’re not fully explaining… this is tips for people who already know the program, and people without a learning disability for sure.

To address the problem with animated subtitles, I have been using static subtitles on the newest tip videos due to using a new video editor that doesn't make that feature easy to use. Thanks for the feedback!

Bro, I understand you have problem with focus, but you can't thrive as a content creator without getting people's attention. You have to be fast paced when making short videos (and this is a compilation of short videos)

I was going to buy rpg maker mz, and there's already rpg maker unite Should i go for MZ or Unite?

Most of the RM community that I interact with would say MZ. I myself would go for MZ as I don't really trust Unity even after they tried to right the wrongs. There's also a lot more support for MZ atm including plugins and resources like character sprites and map tilesets.

@@runthemc I just buy RPG Maker MZ for Half the price and already 3 hours into making the game, And i am happy that my game is slowly coming to life. 😊 And also i realized that RM MZ is not that hard to use ever since i last use a pirated rpg maker mv years ago...with no tutorials...

I got RPG maker xp for free but all things are mz.

A lot of the core event commands have been the same in the engine since 2k. A good portion of my tips should still work for XP!
