This is the first time I have seen an Irish Steam train. Beautiful scenery that Ireland has from some of the scenes in this video and I have noticed that there is a lot of new track that has recently been done as well. I give a big thumbs up to both your video and to Irish Rail for their dedication to renewing the railway as I should be coming again later this year to Ireland to film some 201's and 071's as well as the DMU/DEMU trains like the 22000 and the 29000's as well. Just a question though. Where is the best location in Ireland for filming freight including the oil trains? Ash.

BritishRail60062 Thank You very much Ash. Yea Ireland does have some beautiful spot scattered around the island. The Rosslare line, which this film was taken is possibly the most scenic in the country in my opinion. Regarding your question about our freight. Kildare station is a great spot to catch freight, you get two different types of container trains passing through, those being the IWT which runs from ballina in county Mayo to Dublin port. and the DFDS liner which runs to Waterford. There is also a timber train that runs from Ballina - Waterford. North Wall freight yard in Dublin is a great spot for freight too, you get the Tara Mines train which runs from Navan to Dublin Port and the IWT Liner which runs from ballina - Dublin Port.
