I prefer the Triumph Daytona 660 the most. It's the smoothest, has power everywhere, still reliable, costs least, is comfy and has the best accessories

“Money is not an issue since I plan to keep the bike for a long time” There is a lot to unpack here. The cost of a bike is not in the purchasing price but in the maintenance, modification, insurance, depreciation, service and repairs. This does not diminish but increase with time. The RS660 performs better all day, but it is also more expensive in every category I just mentioned. Do you really need the expensive components of an rs660 for the type of riding you do? That is a good follow up question.

Could be more expensive, but you will pay for what you have, and the others, they are that proportionaly cheaper to mantain with what they offer?
@neelsahay5227
@neelsahay5227 Ай бұрын
the overall cost increases, but the cost per mile / per day will always decrease if you use your brand new bike for many many years. Both must be considered.

@@C0lon0in terms of insurance we are talking about about a 40-50% additional cost for the RS660 in relation to the Daytona where I live. In terms of service maintenance I think I heard it was only about a 20% difference, but Aprilia will be more butthurt if you don’t hand the bike in for a basic oil change, meaning your warranty will be at stake. Also, i really think Aprilia has stepped up their quality for the RS. BUT! 4 years down the line and you put together all the costs you paid for repairs between a Yamaha, Triumph and an Aprilia i think you know the answers yourself. However, i am not making the argument that the RS can not be worth it. I am making the argument that it might not be worth it for everybody. For example, if you are not taking the bike to a track, why sacrifice so much money for something you are not really using.

@@neelsahay5227i am not confused but you are not completely wrong. A bike will depreciate less the older it is. Yet, one can’t use car logic on bikes straight out. Where I live, only the total insurance cost overshadows the total depreciation after only 3 years, this is without talking maintenance and repairs into account. Of course the price per mile will decrease, but not like a cars will. In relation between the bikes, the difference will most likely increase. Also i was arguing against the original argument. The original argument was that the different price points of the bike didn’t matter since the guy intended to own the bike for longer.

The Triumph also does NOT have adjustable suspension. The Aprilia has adjustable suspension, and FULL Aprilia electronic suite

All good points and Aprilia was my top pick until the Triumph Daytona came up. I actually like it's more refined mature lines and who really wants less cylinders or Yamaha R7 yoga positions 😂.

I rode the r7 and the rs660. I liked the r7 better. It even felt faster to me for some reason. The 660 felt like a dog to me.

Really? I never rode the R7, but I rode the FZ07 and the Tuono 660. I felt the Tuono had plenty of power. Then again, the tuning between the tuono and RS might be a bit different. One geared more for top power the other for street use.
@benjy288
@benjy288 Ай бұрын
I'm guessing the R7 feels faster probably because it has more torque lower in the revs, there's youtube clips of drag races between the R7 and RS660 and the R7 accelerates quicker up to around 180kmh, so in the real world the R7 would be the faster bike most of the time.

Rs660… but get a CRT exhaust, sprint air filter, and a flash tune…. It’s a vicious beast. But perfect for the road

Fantastic comparison! I own a 2023 636, and just recently bought a 2024 Aprilia RS 660. Two totally different machines. If you want to upgrade? I say get the RS 660, but if you want your next bike to be your bike for the next 5 years??? Get the ZX6R 🙂 I love both my bikes, but the 636 puts a smile on my face every time i ride it 🙂 The RS 660 is Amazing with Eletronic's, but the 636 just has so much power for a 600 class bike.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the R7!! I dunno why people are so obsessed with electronics and customisation, personally I just wanna get on the bike and take off! No need to worry about being in the right abs mode, throttle mode, traction control setting, right power mode, right quick shifter mode especially not on a 100hp bike😂😂 The reliability is always gonna be a problem due to the sheer amount of electronics on the bike. I mean aprilia have reliability problems even in their moto GP bikes so it's no surprise.

That’s fair, I’m the same way for bikes in that I don’t want to be bothered by complicated tech. But the RS660 is clearly the best in its class. The R7 is phoned in by Yamaha and isn’t competitive on the street or track. The GSX8R is the only one that actually gets close to the RS660.

For people that only have one driving style yes, but i doubt someone that is not 1,70 meters tall and don't have 75kg of weight would not like some customization to be more confortable on the bike.

@legend57 the yamaha r7 pushes past 10,000 dollars when you account for fees and taxes. The engine makes 75 horsepower. Yamaha is trying to screw you over.

 I gotta say the r7 has got to be the most gutless middleweight bikes out there. To be fair it has good torque and street ability. But most my shop agrees that the motor and the power doesn’t match the bike or the style. For me I would go rs660 but the Daytona does a good job in the top end keeping up with my 600rr to a decent degree.

as always, its about what you use the bike for. when hero said "one is different than the other 2", i was expecting him to say the aprilia. the rs660 is a track tool with all ups (handling, power, electronics) and downs (ergonomics), the other 2 (and also the suzuki) are everyday sports tourers with higher handlebars and lower stressed engines.

The RS has a lousy Dealer network, reliability issues, and if you change one thing on the Bike you lose your warranty. And with a Bike with Shit-Show reliability, pass on the RS , and go with the Triumph.
@HeroRRvlogs
@HeroRRvlogs 11 күн бұрын
Almost all warranties are written in a way that if you change anything it can void them. The benefit of the aprilia is there's really nothing to change anyway, it already has the best parts. Reliability won't be as good, but I haven't read many reports of the RS660 having terrible reliability, at the end of the day it's a sport bike not a sport touring bike, how many miles would you put on it a year anyway? The triple engine is sweet, but I think I'd rather have 30 lbs less weight if it were my choice but I totally understand why someone would pick up the daytona instead for the reasons you listed.
