The open door buttons in the copilot seat open the 4 thrust flaps in front of the doors in the hangar. The middle button opens the actual hangar door and the remote turret view from the copilot seat is just a camera to watch the hangar bay. You can actually watch it move from inside.

40:49 That is a fleet command console, its meant to be used like the displays in SQ42's preview at Citcon where it would presumably show the ships that you're in the engagement zone with. That way the Captain gets real time updates on the battlefield situation and can see what's going on around the ship. Cartography would be for something like the Carrack or other exploration ships. The Polaris is first, foremost, and basically only, a patrol ship and a fast attack capital ship, it has no need for cartography, since it would be working with a patrol group or larger fleet that would be able to call on a cartography ship to join them if needed. I don't think any ship in SCM mode is ever outrunning one of those torps. You don't fire these things at 20km. You fire them at 4-6km and then nobody's getting into NAV mode fast enough to run away. The Size 10's are also anti capital, but they move at like, 900m/s.

Saw some vids of it in action with crew and seems like a pretty cool ship. It seems pretty well designed. There’s one with citizen Kate where there are two of them taking down an idris and the players turned on each other because both wanted to capture the idris. I look forward to seeing it in action more and more.

Peak org ship, I have been exploring mine in AC. The co-pilot seat gets to use all the pilot features if the pilot seat is unoccupied plus has some controls no other station has. The round cluster of buttons on the right control 4 popup barricades on the hangar floor in front of each of the 4 side doors. They are darker grey and say caution remotely operated. The square button in the middle of the cluster is an overhead hangar door control. The camera turret button to the right of that cluster is for the camera mounted above the forward side hangar door that leads to the bridge so the copilot can run and monitor the hangar. I was initially a little annoyed they removed the pool table and combined the rec room and mess hall to one room on one side, but it gave more space on other side to make the crew habs nicer. Each room has 2 personal storage pools with their bunks and a shared bath with a nice little garden at the end. The old plan of a giant, shared bathroom off the 12-bed shared bunk room would be space people would rarely use so the new floor plan is better. The new area gives people rooms and 2 ways in/out of those areas on each side. The ship is very symmetrical and internally traversable without elevator if desired by the mirror pair of ladder rooms.

whilst you're right about the part where your friend getting drunk and into a fight wont be a use for the brig (you'll just talk that out irl the next day, hopefully at least), I feel like differentiating between a bounty that's worth a lot or is very dangerous and a bounty that you can be a lot laxer on would still be useful. Also as a note on the PDTs: It makes sense that missiles fired in large mass, close in, won't struggle to overwhelm a PD network because the closer you are the less time it has to react, and the more missiles you have the more time it needs. Remember, the turrets need to go from wherever they where pointing to pointing at your missiles before they can even start to shoot them!

Co-pilot can fly mirrors function Co-pilot acts as ATC and has buttons to open the hanger and open the 4 blast gates on the landing pad. there's a camera inside of the hanger for the Co-pilot to see what's going on. Torpedo's are fired in the torpedo bay. theres a camera just in front of the spotlight under the bridge. you can target a full 360 around the ship and torps will turn towards target. engines open and close when turned on and off. the brigs cells have functional cameras in them. tractorbeam in cargo bay. rear left seat is for missile turret in bridge and the right one is for belly turret. Vtol thrusters work. its fastr than the starlancer idk why but it is. its a tight squeeze, but a vulture can fit in the hanger and so can an inferno or ion

I love the ship, but there are a bunch of things that bother me as either design decisions(torp operator placement/standing. Should be on bridge with everyone else) or just, felt like they were rushed/unfinished(medbay and dining facility mainly) Also for tractor and other turrets, hit Q to make the controls better(not the VJoy nonsense)

You are correct... In that some parts of the Polaris' interior appear to be still gray-box, or at least unfinished. Perhaps by IAE? And, I would love to understand why, in every ship with an Engineering area, where you need to see to fix stuff... It's DARK??? (But then again, MOST of the lighting in Star Citizen is either too dark to see well, or so bright that everything's washed-out.)

The 'doors' the four buttons control are not the hangar doors. The ramps in that lead from the landing pad to the hangar doors have "Caution Remote controlled." These are the doors that those buttons control.

I found no comment for the copilot's hangar controllers so here's my observation Buttons on each side controls jet blast deflector on hangar and center square button opens the hangar door The round button says Remote camera is just a camera, not a tractor beam It's perfect, so much better than a dedicate hangar operator console like Carrack

Amazing, amazing, amazing ship. I was very caucious and undecided about getting one as I have a fairly decent ccu chain to it but I'm getting more and more tempted to! Lets see what happens throughout IAE. On a side note, mainly due to my slight OCD, it's very painful to see the way you tilt your head and then struggle to look at the screen when you look down, it seems extremely uncomfortable, but to each their own 😊 I'm guessing you're using Tobi? Have you thought about setting it up more for the eye movement than head? I assume that since you look at chat, this is a better setup, but surely you can strike a fine balance between the too to make it less straining for your eyes and neck😅 Keep up the amazing content! Oh man. Pretty sure I'll never experience that, we adopted our son and wouldn't have it any other way. However I was showed footage of child birth in S Ed. class in school... and this was probably the expression I had. Hard to remember exactly I was standing and the room started to get darker and I had to sit down. I hope they still show videos like that to kids in school, I can't think of a better form of contreception.
