RSL Test Drives The NIO ET5 - an inevitable success

As an affordable daily driver, I'm not sure the ET5 could offer anymore.

The question is, which one handles and FEELS better to drive, Tesla Model 3 or NIO ET5? Haven't seen any specific comments on that yet, would gladly hear some comparisons. :) I'm personally leaning towards a more sporty ride feel myself (more planted, slightly heavier steering, a bit stiffer suspension, lower seating position and linear breaking performance) why I picked up a latest gen Mazda 3 (in manual transmission) but next car will definitely be EV and I'd still wanna keep at least some of that good driving feel when transitioning to EV. One thing I'm especially buffed about the NIO is how they managed to make me love yellow color on a car when I'd never even consider yellow before to having yellow as the favorite color on the ET5. Don't like the terracotta interior color though, would fit nice in black interior with the yellow/black exterior for my tastes.

Model 3P > ET5 > Model 3 is how I rate them in terms of performance and handling. Thank you so much for the feedback. I think the reason that all ET5's colours look great is because they all have a layer of neutral tone in them.

Nearly an excellent review, just ease back on some of the sexist stuff. Obviously in some countries it will not be a problem but in Western Europe, it will not help your numbers. To be honest your use of language was lyrical and refreshing.

Can't lie this is a nice car love the look and design Only thing I don't like with the new EVs on all brands is the frameless windows Living with it you can tell this feature will be an issue in 5 -10 years especially when it freezes with ice outside and you can't get in your car

The problem is there are too many SUV Evs man i am tired of SUVs they all are almost the same design so another reason to avoid SUVs and another thing an SUV Ev is more thirsty it's less aero than a Sedan and more expensive.

Who is going to be the first car company to cleverly name their next cosy car Second Wife but in a language foreign to the intended market? I recall one company launched a car in Spain whose name translated to Go Slow or similar. That was an accident, I'm proposing a cheeky on purpose! Anyway, China is coming, and both Japan and the West needs to wake up and move faster. Only Tesla has the agility to keep up. Great review BTW, excellent script and photography.
