It’s very important to teach kids consent at a young age. Not necessarily sexual consent, but more in general. If a kid’s friend doesn’t want to do something, the kid has to respect that.

She heard that she's supposed to not say "no" or "don't" but forgot the part where she's supposed to replace it with "do". Positive language is what children respond to. Telling them what you want them to do rather than what you don't want them to do. "No" isn't the problem, the meaning of it is. Instead of "octopus", use "stop" - that's positive language.
