Q. What rider goes into a TT event, thinking "even surviving this race would be the greatest achievement in my life" ???? A. None
@ichabod72 Жыл бұрын
@@Mexxx65 A few of them do - have you seen the look in their eyes when they get off the bike at the end? I'm actually there watching from the hedges - they are as crazy as this position on survival suggests.
@Mexxx65 Жыл бұрын
@@ichabod72 FGS, you can not tell ANYTHING peering through a riders dirty helmet trying to look into his eyes!! They are "pro" bike racers. the LAST thing on their minds is "risk". What they are thinking about, is hitting their marks, focusing on the job at hand, thinking of how hard they will push on each lap, and on the last lap, they are only focusing, on next corner next corner, and always looking far ahead. They are NOT thinking of the risk....because as many of the riders say, you just can't, if you do think of just "surviving" you will fall off and possibly kill yourself. And you simply can not be out there on the track with this mindset.

If you go in thinking survival, you don't go fast enough. This event requires mad levels of mental commitment. RIP Raul.
