Martin Hang Veins are not blue. Your skin filters red light much more effectively than it does blue light. When the light shines into your flesh, bounces of the veins and back out to your eye, the red is very filtered, so the veins appear blue. It's also worth noting that non-oxygenated blood is still red. There is no such thing as blue blood.

circuit boards are green usually for no real reason. Its a solder mask to protect the stuff from the automated soldering processes. They dont have to be green but its the most common.

Guys veins appear blue beacause of the light absorption properties of your skin. Blood is always red however it may be darker, slightly maroon or crimson in colour, when in your veins.

That's a common but untrue myth. Blood is dark red inside the veins. It simply looks blue through skin due to refracting light. However in most anatomy textbooks, veins carrying unoxygenated blood to the lungs are colored blue so they can be differentiated from veins carrying oxygenated blood to the body.

at 36:00 when you guys are talking about colors and wondering if you see the same red he sees, unless you're colorblind in some way your eyes work on three spectra, red-green, blue-yellow and black-white. They will perceive light relative to these three. So like I said, unless there's a functional defect in your cones (most common being on the red-green) then you will perceive colors the same way as other people.

You are also wrong. Veins are transparent and all blood inside of veins are blue because it is deoxygenated. All blood inside of arteries is oxygenated so it is red. The first guy was partially right, because once the blood from the veins reacts with the air, it turns red. However some of the blood inside your body is still red (in the arteries).

Stay inside when there's snow or ice? If I did that here in Northern Canada, I'd be inside for 4-6 months out of the year lol It's my favorite time of year. I hate how it is now, at 25-27 celsius. That's 77-80 fahrenheit. The hottest I ever experienced was 36 (97F) about 9-10 years ago. That was horrendous, could do nothing but sit there and sweat. I think it was back in Dec 2009 when I was working on a 'priority job' out on site. -51 with the wind chill, and we were working on top of a big hill

I'd rather be in the Territories up North than way down in Florida. The way I was raised, it's only natural to have snow for at least 1/3 of the year. Here in Northern Alberta however, we often have snow from October-November until March-April. There's a joke we have. Canada has 2 seasons; 6 months of Winter, and 6 months of road construction lol
