I kinda feel like there should be a place, somewhere, on the internet where the RTAAs are organized by which podcast(s) they pull from. Like the Joel/asteroid one and the sandwich one both track back to this one and there should be some way to quickly check that.

At 1:18:10 it's kind of funny how Gav says "You know how.." to which Jack answers "Nope." but Burnie goes "sure. Apparently I do that with you all the time!". Then, seconds later Jack makes a joke about Gav's accent, asking "A cool or a call?" to which Gav replies "Shut up" and Burnie without laughing says "A call, go" Seemed like Jack was trying to put down the conversation or take the piss with Gav but Burnie didn't let him. Don't know why I found that funny. Perhaps because it's late on a sunday night.... I should really sleep. Okay bye

In regards to their 'no sense of smell' comments, as someone who doesn't have a sense of smell I would like to vent the following; Up yours Gus, just because we can't smell ourselves doesn't mean we just decide to not do anything about any potential smells we may give off. And to Burnie, though while it may be a thing for some, I do actually have a sense of taste, so that isn't always true. Just wanted to point that out real quick, love you guys all the same. Have an awesome day.

Your not alone. I haven't seen it yet either but I plan on watching it soon, mainly just so I can know what everyone is talking about all the GOD DAMN time! (and because it's probably an awesome show)
@SuperPombears10 жыл бұрын
There are only the 5 senses as temperature difference is actually touch, as you touch the vibrating molecules (atoms) which make up the air. Your personal bubble, or as you called it "self awareness", is actually the mix of smell, sight and touch as the slight change of smell from the person that has moved or come into the room will register even if you don't realize it. Touch at the atoms around you will move to let this new bunch of molecules out of the way, and sight as you will obviously see changes around you eg. someone being in the room/moving, light and shadow difference etc...

It's weird how Jack mentioned that he was going to bike into work, like it's a normal thing, and Burnie mentioned that he's done it, but years ago, when they first went into this office, they complained how the city of Austin forced them to get a bike rack and they said that no-one was going to use it. Oh how times have changed!

According to Gavin, hope will make you live a minute longer when starving. According to Jack, "Hope Floats". It sounds like we have the answer to Gus's hypothetical "If you were starving at the bottom of a pool, would you die of hunger or oxygen deprivation first" scenario: sustain yourself on hope as you use it as a lifesaver.

I was exactly the same as Burnie with English- I never read the books, just listened in class, but I got all A's, used to be complimented by my teachers for having understood the book so well, and went on to do English at university. I was always reading, I just had no interest in Wuthering Heights. Just goes to show that the way they teach in schools isn't always the best way for different kids to learn.

I think I can attest to what Gavin said about "growing up in the 80's" when he was only born in '88, because that kind of stuff does carry over for each decade, especially when you're being raised and influenced by your parents who still are sticking to that culture and aren't necessarily "with the times".
