I've had a lot of medical procedures done, and gone under at least 7 times, and it's a weird feeling. The last procedure I stayed awake though, and it's a really cool experience. Local anaesthetic is more weird though. I've had local done on my left arm twice, and you can see people moving it around, and cleaning it, but you don't feel it. It feels like it's in the position it was in before it fell asleep. I was talking to one doctor thinking my arm was by my side, but a nurse was prepping it for surgery lol, such a surreal experience

The hard bit about drowning is holding your breath trying not to drown this causes your lungs to be put under stress causing you pain that is why when you take the breath that releases all the air and start taking in water is really painless.

that's how all AEDs work. it's pretty awesome. you have to make sure the person is out of water and no one is touching the person when it's taking the measurements. so you have to hook up the pads to the person, move away, connect the pads to the device, and turn it on.

So I worked with those smart defibrillators when I had to take first aid training and they said that when you make a emergency first aid kit for yourself always include razors because often times they never include with the defibrillators but you need them. If someone has a really hairy chest you need to shave it so the pads can stick on and get a proper connection. So what I am saying is buy dollar shave club, they save lives.

brandons theory about lung capacity is wrong because drowning is almost always because your lungs fill with water rather than run out of oxygen.
@Logjambam9 жыл бұрын
and no matter your lung capacity, if they fill with water you can't breathe
@NJDevilsF4N9 жыл бұрын
+Logjambam I'm not sure if you're serious or not too bright but why do you think people's lungs fill with water? People run out of oxygen in their lungs, pass out, and then inhale the water and die. If a person's lung capacity was greater they'd have a better chance of making it to oxygen and not passing out.
@Logjambam9 жыл бұрын
+NJDevilsF4N in most dry drowning (the type you were talking about) cases it happen to people who got knocked unconscious or aren't adequate swimmers. but drowning usually happens when someone inhales water and chokes on it causing them to enhale more, and they pass out because they can't respirate.
@Logjambam9 жыл бұрын
+NJDevilsF4N for example when someone falls in water and drowns they usually panic and inhale water

Re: the car in the water thing You DO NOT need to wait until the car reaches the bottom. You need to wait until your car is full of water. If you try opening a door before your car is full, the pressure will keep it closed and you're wasting oxygen. If you try breaking a window before your car is full of water, the pressure wave will cause the fragments to smash into your face, and the impact of the water can knock you out or break your neck. As soon as the water is equalized you can safely escape.

Info for Gus. That sleep apnea is much worse when you're on your back. It can get so bad that people suffocate from it, so it is important to treat. If you wear a t-shirt to bed, put a tennis ball in the back of the shirt and hold it in place with a rubber band. You'll condition yourself to not lay on your back, and possibly save a lot of money unless your condition is too severe.
