Burnie, THANK YOU for your reasonable stance on Making a Murderer. So tired of people coming away from that show thinking the guy is definitely innocent.
@justingaumond8092
@justingaumond8092 9 жыл бұрын
I don't think everyone thinks he is innocent but more there was clearly a lack of evidence that he did it. And that there was reasonable doubt whether he did it and therefore should not have been convicted.
@justinsmith5169
@justinsmith5169 9 жыл бұрын
+Justin Gaumond They actually didn't show all of the evidence in the show. It's tailored to be debatable but they found several things that weren't shown. Victims blood in his car, stuff like that that can pin him directly to it.

+Justin Gaumond except the show ONLY shows it from one point of view and not from all angles and the show as ive heard doesnt show all evidence and it even leaves out key evidence at that

+Justin Smith Ok see now that's interesting and should have been in the film. I guess that's the main problem with these "documentaries", they always have a certain spin them. But I think we can all agree that the "confession" by his nephew was complete bullshit and forced.
@justinsmith5169

Justin Gaumond See, I haven't actually seen the documentary. Just an episode of a TV show on a channel called ID (Investigation Discovery) where they do stuff like this and it was on there. From what I hear, this show covered in a half hour what Making a Murderer covers in 10 hours, it just seems like it's intended to spread a controversy.

+TheNinjaBees I'm watching this now, because i know Google is a fuckup when it comes to anything they have. They buy good stuff then when the good guys who made said thing go away or are constrained to follow company policy they bring in their own shitty guys who can't even fix a damned front page, or just constantly ruin what is functional with garbage stuff that nobody wants. OH and you have to love the intentionally dumb stubbtoes in the help threads that are GG employees and accidentally on purpose can't answer a simple question or even solve any kind of problem. And just gotta love how they give themselves "best answer" because everyone who actually reads the comments knows that they didn't even answer the right thing and just copy/pasta something another dude wrote a few threads over, for another, similar, yet different thing. Yeah. Googtube, oozing with stupidity each year, more and more. Back on track, they can't even make a functional streaming service, so why would i ever bother using it or watching it. What's the point in wasting my high speed internet when they still bang rocks at keyboards thinking :"it's ok, big daddy googlax will help me with some answers from people much, much smarter than me. And when people laugh at me, i'll just throw more money at it and it will fix itself."

Every time apple comes out with a new iphone they buy them and then just complain bout how terrible they are...just stop buying iphones lol.
@BluntStuff
@BluntStuff 9 жыл бұрын
that is contrary to apple user logic. it's like they said about making consumers pay to fix an issue. if they can have their following "patch" their hardware with a second battery, they know they won't lose anybody over it. those who can see the value in Android, have androids....they also have a want, or need for an open phone, the rest do just fine with a closed, very streamlined, elderly-friendly smartphone
@chriss.9398
@chriss.9398 9 жыл бұрын
+KAMbam I think people just get familiar with something and its a love hate relationship(used to be that way). There are many many terrible things about the iphone(cant remove battery, no sd slot, terrible battery life, os limitations and bugs, soon to not have aux out) but people dont want something different or unfamiliar. That and apple screws people over by trying to make certain things obsolete and or having a diminishing battery life on a phone where people just end up having to get a new one over and over and over. I used to be an apple user and didnt like the idea of having an operating system that wasnt as friendly and warm feeling but then got an android because of the price difference and I have never looked back. Never realized how much bullshit was going on with apple until I stopped using their products.
@Eddiedb451
@Eddiedb451 9 жыл бұрын
+Chris S. There is a way to use Iphones without problems though, as long as you don't care about the customization that android lets you have. All you need to do is never update the OS, EVER. My 6 still runs as fast as the day I bought it and almost never has any glitches. I personally have nothing to complain about it.

27:30 Canadian here, pretty sure we stopped minting the penny in 2012, but don't hold me to that. As for 'paper' currency, that's on its way out in Canada as well, we have plastic bills, and let me tell you, those buggers are TOUGH! I'm 6' tall, former construction worker, and also had quite a bit of working out done between 2012-2015 on and off. I'm no whimp, but as hard as I try, I CANNOT rip one in half. I'll wrinkle it at the pressure point, but I can't seem to rip one in half unless I use scissors or a knife or something to make a little tear in the material beforehand. It is seriously tough stuff, and there's some very interesting designs in it which makes it quite visually appealing!

I've always wondered about Gavin's question -- "how many billions do you think are in couch cushions?" I can't even wrap my head around how many billions of dollars are probably sitting on city streets, in sewers, in parking lots, car seats, couch cushions.... there must be billions and billions of dollars just lying around on the roads. I watched a TED talk about a guy who trained crows to collect change off the streets and drop it in a vending machine. First, he made the crows familiar with the machine by placing food around it. Then, he got them to associate coins with the machine. Then, he trained them to drop things in the machine so food would fall out. Then, the crows figured out that the only way to make food come out was to drop change in the bin. He made an army of crows that scavenged for loose change and put it into his wallet fattening machine. It's like that show Zoo except the evil corporation is making millions.

1:01:30 This is the truth about Switzerland with guns: What fails to mention is the fact that ammunition can not be kept at home. It must do "military time" it's more like boy scouts here until age 28. Also concealed pistol permits are nearly impossible to come by. What the should the US should be looking to mimic from the Swiss is the fact that every single job here guarantees 4 weeks min. paid vacation, 16 weeks paid maternity leave for new moms, and a secure safety net for people that find themselves unemployed. But sure, rifles are cool too.

Breakfast - early morning up to 11am "Brunch" (used to be called "Elevensth" or "Elevenings") - Normally it was meant for business deals in early morning...or housewives that had to do the washing before in the early morning. Instead of waiting 3 hours for it to dry or to beat the rugs, they have 11ings. Lunch - Noon to 2pm "late lunch" is always 3pm. Afternoon Tea - 4pm to 6pm Supper/Dinner/Tea - after 6pm to 8pm Dinner Snack - after 9pm to 12pm Midnight snack - midnight :) Hope that explains it. And to Gavin, you do have a lunch/dinner and that is afternoon tea. And for foreigners, that isn't just a cuppa tea. That is a lot of sweets (desserts)/cakes/biscuits ("cookies") and proper delicatessen.

To be perfectly honest, I'm so glad I watch the podcasts because I would never know about a lot of important things without it. The Michigan water issue is so important but news of it has not reached some areas world wide. I mean not everything they say is important but this podcast can be quite educational for someone who doesn't watch the news

+zXSEBOXz I'm sure they received all necessary legal rights to use the portal gun and any other pre-made tech in the movie.
@zXSEBOXz

geckogeek6 There is no way that they are using an aperture science portal gun in their original movie. I'm pretty sure it's a laser, considering the movie is called lazer team and they call it a laser in the trailer. What I'm saying is they totally ripped off the portal gun's color scheme and design.
@EmeraldJunkie
@EmeraldJunkie 9 жыл бұрын
+zXSEBOXz It looks more like a monochrome version of Megamans hand blaster than the portal gun. I can kinda see where you're coming from but I wouldn't call it a rip off.

I thought my brain stopped working for a minute there. I need to go find when this happened before when they talked about the vessel.

The Austin Spurs are the D-League affiliate with the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA. The D-League is the developmental league where typically you have your second round picks, (picked 31 overall to 60 overall in a draft) or fringe players that weren't drafted. If you draft a player you own the "rights" to that player in terms of playing in the NBA and so they are more like talent farms and teams to get guys rehabilitating from injury some extra reps. I know this because I'm a big Celtics fan and I used to live in Maine who have the Celtics D-League affiliate the Maine Red Claws as their team where our rookies would play along with fringe talent players, and they'd play in Portland.
